I am glad that November is set aside to focus awareness on prematurity because we lived prematurity during this month four years ago.
On November 7, four years ago, we had two very premature and very sick little guys. They were 11 days old.
On this day, four years ago, we got the chance to change a diaper for our very own children. While I think Isaac may have had the chance to change diapers before this time, I do know that it was my very first opportunity. I jumped right in when I could, but I have to admit it was so scary to try to diaper our tiny, wire covered, fragile boys.

Please join us in taking this month to honor the millions of babies worldwide who have died because they were born too soon, and the millions more who were able to fight their way home to their families.
November 17, Prematurity Awareness Day, is a day to focus everyone’s attention on the serious problem of premature birth.
