Our New Addition!

Today we got a new car. We're not sure of her name yet, but she'll let us know what it is soon enough. :)

We got a brand new Honda Odyssey! We're all very excited, too!

Friday Five

This week's field trips were a success for everyone. The boys had a great time at the city library and walk to the Farmer's Market. I managed to make it back from my trip with all my students in tow. (Yay!)

In fact, Jason had such a fun time, he did a little shopping while he was at the Farmer's Market and bought me a beautiful ring for Mother's Day. :)

I still can't get over how big Jack is in his spring school picture. I sure wish that the big boys also had their pictures taken so I could compare how much they've grown this year, too, but alas, they didn't take theirs. (We shall not go into that whole mess other than to say there was a miscommunication. Grr.)

Hopefully, if all goes as planned, we will have a new addition to the family this weekend! I can't let the cat out of the bag yet because some little people now read this blog on the regular and I don't want them to know just yet. (Yes, boys, I'm talking to you! lol)

9 - more Thursdays left to the school year! (not like we're counting, though)
8 - more weeks. EIGHT weeks. Woot!
2 - field trips this week; one for the boys to the public library, and one for me
1 - week before the big boys do their first state testing (1 kid is a little nervous, the other kid could care less)

Consignment Sale Success!

Our first attempt at consignment sales has been quite the success. We ended up selling approximately 70 items and made over $200! Not too shabby for a last minute attempt to get our feet wet. The next sale is in November, and you better bet your money we'll be much more prepared next time.

Yay!

Now to decide how to spend our new little fund... :)

Friday Five

This weekend we are selling a bunch of things at a local consignment sale. To prep, we were going through all of the boys' old clothes and toys. (Sniff, sniff) Jack came up and wanted to see what I was doing.

"Are you getting me a new baby brother?" he wanted to know.

Um, don't count on that, bud. LOL

By the way, you know you really liked the clothes your kids wore when you find something cute on the rack, think how sweet the boys would have looked in it, and then realize that the outfit was something you actual brought to sell. Ha!

This week back in school/work after our vacation was rough. We are all tired and worn out. Top that off with a sore throat for Jay, and things have been loads of fun.

The warm weather has meant for lots of time outside playing (and bathing it seems) in the dirt. We've also had fun watching a new crop of caterpillars grow. Got our first J's of the season this week, too!

We got word this week that Jason's bike is almost ready to ship. They will be sending it out at the beginning of May. Looks like we may have it in plenty of time before summer vacation!

We haven't heard anything about the arrival date for Shawn's bike, but we were told it would take 6-8 weeks to get here. (It comes from Sweden, I think.) Depending on when the actual order went out, we could have it here as soon as the next few weeks. :)

Then we'll have to find something for Jack!

Today was my birthday! We had a nice, quiet day, in which all my boys spoiled me rotten.

Easter

This Easter we spent a quiet day hanging out around the house. The boys enjoyed their Easter baskets and had fun when we went out and looked for eggs. We had a simple dinner of steak, curly fries, fruit and chocolate cake. (We each picked something we liked and put it all together.) It was definitely not how we would have normally celebrated the holiday, but it worked for us this year. :)

The Easter Bunny came! I had to get up bright and early to take these pictures before Jack got to them!
