Friday Five
Another week down! Only three more weeks to summer vacation, and truly, we are all ready for it.
This week has been a bit rougher as far as school work goes. Due dates are getting closer, and it was a tad overwhelming for the boys. I'm proud to say that they pushed through and got their work turned in, which of course made them feel a WHOLE lot better. :)
~~~
We had a relatively lazy week aside from that. The boys went with me to my work to help me close down my classroom. They had fun playing school while I worked. Afterward, we went to the drive through and got hamburgers. It was their first fast food since all of this started. Needless to say, they enjoyed it immensely. LOL
~~~
Our little garden continues to grow. So far, the carrots, radishes, and snow peas are growing really well. I think I see the first signs of sprouts for the peppers. (Yay!) Still nothing to show for the tomatoes, celery, and watermelons.
We got some strawberry plants at the nursery, so they're going to go down soon. Plus, we put a few grape tomatoes in there just for good measure. We'll see what we get.
~~~
Jack had another Zoom meet today. He had to come with a joke to share.
What do you call a dinosaur who crashes his car?
~A tyrannosaurus WRECKS!
His joke was a hit with the third grade crew. LOL
~~~
Since Jack went to the dentist earlier this year, he has been OBSESSED with brushing his teeth. He is officially a three times a day brusher - after each meal, on his own, never fails.
Want to thrill him? Give him a new toothbrush.
The kid cracks me up!

Friday Five
We have made it through week #10 in quarantine. We've had some fun moments and some not so fun moments this week, but we're plugging along. That's all we can ask from ourselves at this point!
~~~
The boys are excited we are on a three day weekend and there's no school on Monday...which...well, is funny to me.
~~~
Dad made up a fun game to play outside with the boys - Ping Pong Golf. We have a target at one end of the yard, and from the other end, the boys are trying to hit their ping pong balls into the target using ping pong paddles. They had a blast.
~~~
Speaking of school, Jack's officially checked out of his classroom. His books have all been turned in and all of his things from his desk are home. He is still doing his work online, but it's a little bittersweet to check off that milestone.
The big boys have a final due date for all of their work on June 8. I'm not sure what will happen for them after that, but they also have to turn in their books.
The last day of school for them this year is June 18.
Mostly Wordless Wednesday (and a Celebration!)
These kids are too funny. Isaac thought he'd lie on the ground for a bit...wasn't long before these two were right there to give him slurberts! lol
And now for the celebration. 9 years ago today, I started a 30 day challenge to blog here every day. 3288 posts later and I am still blogging every day! Yay!!!
Friday Five
We've manage to make it through week #9 of social distancing. So crazy!
~~~
We only have 5 weeks of distance learning left. Jack's supposed to pick up his things from his class and drop off his textbook on Tuesday. The big boys turn in their books the first week of June.
We can't wait until summer. This distance learning stuff is tough.
~~~
Our week went by relatively fast. Work was completed for school. Zoom meets were held. Playing outside was done. ipad time was had. Jason and dad even went for a drive around town to keep the car battery from dying. Busy, busy, busy.
~~~
The paint we've been waiting three weeks for was apparently delivered to the wrong house yesterday. Home Depot won't let us complain about it for 3 more days. So frustrating. :(
~~~
Shawn and I have started doing warm up exercises together. It's too funny. He does NOT want to do them, but he will as long as we can make it silly. My goal is to get us to do one of the dances his PE teacher has assigned him to do. Right now, doing the dances get a hard "no" from the kid. Jason is also a hard no on the dances. Jack, however, is all for doing them! lol Fingers crossed about the other two!
Glimpses
He keeps threatening to grow up, but every now and then I get these glimpses of my little guy. He was all into snuggles this weekend. He had his head on my tummy while we watched television.
