Disney Part 3

Because I am a glutton for photos, every time I'd see the camera people standing around, I'd try to talk everyone into taking a picture. Surprisingly, they indulged me and we got some really cute shots. I finally got the images in the mail today. :)

The only one of the four! in which we
were all looking forward. Success! lol

Shawn and Mickey

Kids? What kids?
They didn't want to take a picture,
so we did without them!

In Cars Land at the end of the first night

Two of the three with Mater.

Jack and Sophia

Flirting, like always.

Jason and Sophia

Such a ladies man!

Shawn and Pluto

~~~
The boys got to go meet their teacher today. They really like her and are excited to go back for the real deal tomorrow!
Memory Boxes
School is just two sleeps away. I can hardly believe it! I am still struggling to wrap my mind around the fact this milestone will change things as we know it. Of course school will bring many, many positive changes for the boys and us (and I really believe they are going to love it), I can't help but be a tiny bit (or a lot) sentimental about the loss of their "baby" days. Sniff, sniff.
~~~

The boys got to do a pretty special project today--they got to make school memory boxes with Puttentang!

Looking at his box and the stickers he gets to use for his box

I want something to go right there!

Shawn's plugging right along on his box (with a little of mommy's help)

Reading one of the stickers

Jack even hung out with everyone

Selecting just the right sticker takes concentration, you know.

Shawn's running out of room on his box!

The finished products!

Thank you, Puttentang, for the special boxes! The boys were too cute while they admired their work during dinner. ("What do you think will go in their first, mom? I think it should be a pumpkin because then it will mean we will almost be at our birthday!" He was a little put off when I told him he still had a lot of sleeps before his birthday. He was also a little put off when I suggested that some of his schoolwork should go in the box. "Why mom? I think that stuff should stay at school." Sigh.)

~~~
It was unanimous that both boys thought making their boxes and playing with stickers were the best part of the day. :)
Disney Day 2
On day two, the boys wanted to go back to Cars Land at Disney California Adventure. That was by far their favorite place to go. :)
While we were on our way, we came upon Sophia. Jason and Jack wanted to stop and say hello. (Shawn was still pining for Goofy. Sophia was apparently not on his top ten list of must meets. Ahem.)
Jack thought Sophia was pretty neat...
as long as she didn't touch him. lol
Jason was in LOVE. Sophia tickled him and gave him hugs and kisses.
He is quite the lady's man.
After that, we headed back to the beloved land of Cars. Jack checked out a Tractor.
"Say Cheeeeeeese!"
Then Jason and daddy decided to ride Mater's Junkyard Jamboree.
Almost there!
This is going to be so fun! :)
They had a great time. I think it whipped around faster than Jason expected, but he handled it well and said thought it was fun.
After that we decided to head back to the main park. On our way out, Shawn stopped for another visit with Pluto.
Look, mommy! It's Pluto again!
On our way into the main park, Jason spied Daisy and wanted to talk to her. (He only wanted to talk to the ladies. What's up with that?)
More kisses for Jason.
We had a bit more to eat and took a few selfies.
Shawn decided he needed some new shades.
We visited the Fire Station.
Jason checked out the back.
While Jack took his position in the driver's seat.
(Don't get any ideas, boy.)
We stopped to feed the ducks some Cheerios.
Here you go!
Wait! Stop giving away all my Cheerios!
Okay, fine. I'll share, too.
Then we waited a bit to see a parade.
Isn't this so sweet of the two of them?
Such a perfect ending to a pretty awesome trip!
Disney Day 1
We truly did have a lot of fun at Disney this year. The big boys were at a perfect age to soak up all of the atmosphere and enjoy some of the bigger rides, while Jack just experienced a day full of wonder. As their parents, we got a huge kick out of seeing their faces light up with amazement and delight. It makes me smile just thinking about it!
So here is day one recapped through pictures.
We visited the fountains and played in the water.
We saw Lightening McQueen!
Shawn was really impressed!
Jason and I went on our first ride, Luigi's Flying Tires.
(We're pretty much centered in the picture.)
Shawn and daddy wanted to check out the Tractors in Cars Land.
We all went on Heimlich's Chew Chew Train.
Shawn wasn't sure at first, but he did it!
Daddy, Jack, and Jay on the train.
Jack can't figure out what the big deal is. So what?
We're on a ride, boy. That's what!
We had a little lunch at Flo's Diner.
Jason and I went on the Radiator Springs Racers ride.
He was so excited.
Racing another car...we won!
We're in the car closest to the mountain. :)
Jay made a wish in the lake.
When he saw the ripples from the coin hitting the water,
he swore that meant his coin turned into his wish. I believe him!
We headed over to the big park and watched Goofy
conduct the fountains of Paradise Bay.
Jason shook the Maestro's hand.
Shawn gave him a high 5!
We all went on the It's a Small World ride.
Jack LOVED it!
Shawn liked how the characters from the Disney movies
were in the different lands throughout the ride.
Jason thought the whole thing was pretty cool.
Loving what he saw.
It's Donald, mama!
We went to Toon Land and sat in the goofy cars.
Jason drives like a maniac, I tell you!
We split up for a bit. Shawn and I went to go see
the different characters. He saw Pluto...
Gave Mickey a little love...
and chatted with Goofy. Goofy is his favorite by far. :)
Meanwhile, daddy took Jack and Jay on the Disneyland Railroad.
Jay's not a fan of the whistle in his ears. Can't say I blame him.
After that, Jay got a special wish granted by a
Disney employee. They made it so he could ride
Autopia without standing in any lines at all. We just walked
up through the exit and were met by a person who took us
straight to the loading area to get on the ride. It was so neat!
Jay kept saying, "I'm so lucky!"
While Jay was on the ride, Shawn kept everyone around entertained
with his jokes and Jack took a power nap.
Jay just after we got off the ride. He loved it!
He did drive a little crazy, though. "Mom, this car has a mind of it's own!!!"
While we tried to capture as much of our adventures as we could, there is still so much that we got to do this day that we didn't get on film. We laughed a lot, marveled at all the sights, and ate a lot. We played in the water and saw some parades (from afar). It was fun, fun, fun!
