Swimming Pool Water Balloon Sumo Wrestling?

I had filled two large party size balloons with water, but I'm still not exactly sure what their plan for the balloons was...

Maybe Sumo wrestling? lol

Rattlesnake

"I got a rattlesnake in my eye!" is what I heard. I turned around to find this:

Our Version of Parkour?

When you have a severe shortage of climbable trees in your backyard...

But on the bright side, you don't have very far to fall.

Upside Down

Jack, in an excited voice: "I'm going to turn the whole world upside down!"

Me, per usual lately: "Huh? What do you mean?"

Me: "Ah. Should have known!"

Stinker!

This afternoon we needed to add more water to the pool because the boys are constantly trying to perfect their cannon ball maximum splash technique. Shawn’s asked if he could help fill the pool.

I should have seen it coming, but he looks so sincere when he sets me up lately. (Little stinker)

"I’ll hold the hose..."

"Hey dad! Come here, I need your help..."

His “tell” is the last minute giggle. Fortunately, it gives me about 2 seconds to react and get the heck out of the way!

Volcano

He wanted to do a volcano experiment today.

You'd never think that you'd need to say this to your child, but I did. "Jack, don't stick your finger in to volcano."

Conversations With 10 Year Olds

Jason in car on way to Target...

Him: When I was 10...uh...or like right now... (he laughed) I took the CA drivers test on YouTube kids and I passed it.

Me:  Did they have tough questions? Maybe something like “How old are you?”

LOL

Conversations With 10 Year Olds

He asked me, “Did you see mom come and throw something at me?”

I replied, “I don’t think so.”

Then he said to me, “Why are you supporting her sack of lies?”

I replied, “You’ll understand better when you get married buddy.”

Creative Minds

Found two of the boys quietly working on their own projects.

One is making a body kit for one of his Hot Wheels cars, and the other is making a house - all out of cardboard.

Nice to know that they don’t always need a screen in front of them to still have fun.

A Messy Dessert

Want to find the messiest way to eat a dessert? Just Call Jason.

Tonight Jason had what he thought was going to be one of his greatest dessert creations ever.

A Triple Layer Double Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookie and French Vanilla Ice Cream Sandwich!

His ingredients:
2 chocolate chunk cookies
ice cream

Unfortunately, 2/3 of the way to building his creation, he realized that before he actually had the idea, he had already eaten one of the cookies.  Not being deterred, despite the top layer consisting of quickly melting ice cream, he proceeded to pick it up and eat it like a sandwich anyway. Notice his spoon sat there unused!

(I meant to tell him that the use of cutlery is one of the few things that separate us from animals, but he was simply enjoying his dessert too much.)

Pool Time

Jason and I are playing Lego Pool...

I was talking to him with a Lego character voice, trash talking to him after I would make each shot. "Woohoo! I'm the best pool player in the world!"

He asked, "Why do you keep saying that?"

"Because it's true. I'm the best pool player in the world! Woohoo!"

He finally said, "But why do you keep saying that you are the best poop layer in the world then?"

LOL! (Seems like middle child is mastering his own trash talking!)

Hair Cut

So comfortable at the hair salon these days that I'm pretty sure he was trying to impress the stylist by asking her if she knows what a "Super Moon" is. Little Flirt explained to her that it would be happening tomorrow night.

Smooth.

Nothing like a new haircut to give a guy some confidence with the ladies.  Haha

Cute Big Boy Saturday - The Mad Scientist?

Jack was in the kitchen when I heard him say, "I've done it!"

So naturally I ran over to the kitchen as quickly as I could.

This is what I found.

He was very pleased with himself, too!

We're Not Animals Here

What really separates us from the animals?

The use of cutlery of course.

Now, if we could just keep the food on the plate, we'd be set.
