Our Year

Team Lopez has had a very exciting year! Here's a little snippet of some of the things we did...

Two things stand out to me in this word cloud: the words TEAM and LOPEZ. That is fitting I think, as we truly are a team. :-)

---

We hope 2012 brings as much happiness as 2011!

Happy New Year, Everyone!

Mommy and Jason

Daddy and Shawn

Tooting his horn

Tipping his hat at daddy
Celebrating with us while he's dreaming. :-)

P.S. For those of you counting, I am proud to say that this is the 224th post in a row! Now that is pretty impressive of me, if I do say so myself.

Oh wait.

I do say so! Lol.

9 Months Old!

9 months old (39 weeks and 2 days old)

Who replaced my baby with this big BOY?

Weight:  Jack weighs 22 pounds and 4 ounces (73rd %ile for weight)

Length: 31 1/2 inches long (But...he was wiggling and this is shorter than I measured him last month. In other words, I believe he is bigger than this. Ahem. Anyway, this is above the 97th %ile for height.)

Wearing: size 3 Huggies diapers and rapidly leaving 12 month clothes. The arms are too short now and the necks are getting a bit low.

Feedings: Jack 5-7 ounces of formula a feeding 5 times a day for a total of approximately 28-32ish ounces a day. He's now eating solids three times a day. He has started drinking a few ounces of water from his cup each day. This month he's tried eating all kinds of things and seems to like it all.

Favorites: Jack loves to jump and spend time in his activity centers. He also loves to bang things together and attack love on his brothers.

Least Favorites: Jack likes to be the center of attention. He is not a happy camper if he thinks I have gone too long without interacting with him.

Issues: Poor boy is teething again. He's working on his molars now, as all his other teeth are through now.

Personality: Jack is still fairly easy going and happy.

Areas to work on: Jack is pretty good at standing and jumping. He, however, feels that crawling is beneath him and has decided he does not need to master that skill. lol. He can and will get up on all fours, has rocked back and forth some, but has yet to be interested in moving.

New Things: Let's see: he has now moved into a big boy car seat. He likes to sit on his rear and push himself backwards. He's rocking his pincer grasp and loves to eat his puffs. (Interestingly, he is better at his pincer grasp with his left hand. I wonder if we will have another lefty on our hands...)

Randomness: Jack's new pasttime is to throw his toys on the floor. Oh how he loves it when we make a big deal about it as we are picking them up for him. He just laughs and laughs. Jack also thinks my grandmother's dog is pretty funny too. :-)

---

**At today's well baby visit, I had to fill out a questionnaire about skills expected in different domains (problem solving, gross motor, fine motor, ect--I think there were 6 in all). I was able to answer "yes" for most of the questions, which is nice. He is doing just what a baby his age should be doing. Yea!

---

Kidbits: Our Life in a Series of Face Book Updates... Part 13

All the signs are pointing to the littlest boy cutting a molar. Today has not been a good day for him. Poor guy. :(

---

Today, jack is officially 38 weeks and 5 days old--he's now been growing on the outside longer than he grew on the inside. Blows my mind!

---

Everyone's asleep but me, even the husband and cats! Again, does anyone else see something wrong with this picture?!!?

I guess I'll just quietly enjoy the peace. :)

The boys' creation!

---

Remember those 8 teeth? Someone who shall remain nameless bit his daddy on the shoulder. Heh heh heh.

December 21 at 10:16pm

---

The boys had their 4 year check ups today. 4 shots (would have been 5 but they've already had chicken pox) and two hours later we were home. I was exhausted! Fortunately for me, they were too and slept like rocks at quiet time.

The boys are huge. Jason is 42 3/4 inches tall and 37 pounds, 13 ounces. (95th percentile for height!) Shawn is 39 1/4 inches tall and 31 pounds, 3 ounces. (50-70th percentile for height!)

Not too shabby for two guys born weighing under 3 pounds. :-)

December 21 at 10:06pm

‎2 more teeth came through today. Oh goodie. More weapons to attack me with! I'm in trouble. Big boy is a bruiser.

December 19 at 1:35pm

---

Me: Hot dog! You did it! Way to go!
J: Why did you call me a hot dog? I'm not a hot dog. Hot dogs are hot dogs.
Me: I was just saying...
J: Hey, I want a hot dog for lunch!
Me: ... Sigh.

December 19 at 12:03pm

---

Nooooooooo!!! Only 20 green and 12 pink! There's a freaking line of us nuts and they are handing out tickets at 6!

December 10 at 5:54am

Yeah! Got 2!!!!

December 10 at 6:06am

---

Supposed to be Leappads at TRU tomorrow...at 6 am. Why am I even thinking like going there tomorrow to look for them would be a good idea? Sigh. Wish me luck.

They better let me buy two...I'm just saying.

Hell. They better have them or I'm going to implode.

December 10 at 12:29am

---

Leappad...I will find you and make two of you mine! It has become my mission. (Why must I want to give my kids one of the most sought after presents of the season? Why oh why do I do this to myself?)

How can he possibly be 8 months old?!!?

November 30 at 7:02pm

Thank you, Nick Jr. FINALLY there's a new song!

November 29 at 7:37pm

Jason brought his pillow and blanket to our room, crawled into bed with us this morning, and then slept like a log snuggled in my arms until 9! I will miss moments like this when my boys are all grown.

Everyone in the house is asleep at this moment! Sitting here enjoying the short-lived silence. Ah...

Merry Christmas!

The children are all tuckered,
From their fun filled day,
Snuggled in bed,
To (hopefully) sleep the night away.

The parents are both sitting,
Remembering the sight,
Of the three little faces,
Aglow with delight.

They opened their presents,
They played with their toys,
They laughed and they giggled,
All filled with Christmas joys.*

From our family to yours,
We wish you peace, joy, and light,
Merry Christmas to all,
and to all a good night!**

The dynamic duo in their Christmas pajamas.

For those of you who wonder why the boys are always separated when I take pictures, behold this...

Jack just joined the party on the chair.

No one is happy. Cue madness.
Cue mommy picking Jack up and removing him from the chair.

Then I am left with a bunch of pictures that look like this.
'Nuff said, right? Sigh.
