This guy got his second shot. We are all now officially vaccinated! Yay!

Christmas Shopping

Shawn has been so excited to go Christmas shopping for his brothers and dad. Today is the day he finally got to do that. He was just so cute. He knew exactly what he wanted to get for them and couldn't wait to wrap them and put them under the tree. On Wednesday, we'll be making some Christmas cards for his brothers and dad to put under the tree, too. I love that he loves this time of year!

More Tree Trimming

This guy decided that we need some stringed popcorn on the tree. He's being very dedicated to his craft today, too! Even his iPad took second place to the task at hand. lol

Yesterday was Thanksgiving, so you know what that means? Right - we get to decorate the tree! The boys did such a great job this year, too. It is beautiful!

It Finally Happened

Jason and his dad have the same size feet. Well, they aren't exactly the same size, but they are pretty dang close. They are now only 1/2 a size between them.

To compare, here are my feet next to Jason's new shoes. My mind is blown. Jay's feet are now size 12.

Did I mention the mind blown part? Whoa.

The towel rack in the bathroom had to be moved, so I had taken it off the wall, and put it on the kitchen table. In walked Jack, and well, he thought the pieces were pretty cool, and he wanted to help. lol

Conversations With 10 Year Olds

Me: Jack, do you know what I know?

Him: I know I'm the best Jack ever.

Me: My job is done. lol

Friday Five

The boys really appreciated the fact that this week was conference week and they got out early. That made the week fly by for them. Now they get a week off!

Speaking of conferences, all went well with those. The boys are doing what they are supposed to be doing, which is good.

We did have an IEP meeting on Monday. Things are still not resolved, and we are still not happy with how the school district is handling things. We have another meeting set in a few weeks. Sigh.

Our guy served his detention today at lunch. He said it went okay. He did give his letter to the administrator to pass on to the kid he hit. No one else said anything about what had happened, so it seems like it will all be pushed quickly to the past. (That must be a boy thing, right?)

We now have our Christmas tree up! It isn't decorated yet (we do that after Thanksgiving), but it sure is bringing us all some extra joy while we look at its pretty lights!

A First

This week we had our first school confrontation. Someone said something mean to one of our guys, and our guy stood up for himself by throwing a water bottle at the kid's nose. The kid ended up with a bloody nose. While it may not have been the best choice to throw the bottle while he was angry, I'm going to guess that everyone now knows not to mess with our guy!

Our guy ended up with a lunch detention for tomorrow. He felt bad for hurting the other boy and did write an apology letter. We'll see how it goes tomorrow.

Our Jack

My sweet, Energizer Bunny, Jack is the funniest kid around. He never fails to get me to laugh out loud at his crazy antics. When he isn't making me laugh, he's giving me the best snuggles! I can't even begin to imagine our lives without him!

Our Jason

Jason is an amazing kid. He knows so much and is so very smart! His goal is to be an engineer when he is older. I have no doubt he'll reach his goal, too. He's growing so fast...I wish I could slow down time!

Our Shawn

He's getting so long and tall all of a sudden. I blinked and he's a full grown nearly man. How did that happen?

Shawn truly is one of the sweetest kids I know. If you are feeling sick or sad or need some extra love, Shawn is the first one to be there to see what you need. He loves to help anyone who needs it. He is so smart, too! I'm just so proud of this kid!

Friday Five

This week went by pretty fast because of the holiday yesterday. Next week, the boys have conference week, so they'll get out early each day. The week after that is fall break! Yay!

I got my booster on Wednesday. While I didn't have as severe of a reaction as I had for dose #2, I still spent much of Thursday in bed. :( Thankfully, I am feeling better today. Isaac will get his booster next week.

Jack did pretty good after his first shot. He looked a little droopy after school on Tuesday and Wednesday, but he never said he didn't feel well. He did say his arm hurt, though. He'll get his second dose at the end of the month.

We decided it is time to finally take down the pool, and wouldn't you know it that we have a mini heat wave? It has been in the upper 80s today, and it is supposed to be warm again tomorrow. Sigh.

It's time to take out the Christmas tree, too! My plan is to get the living room rearranged so the tree will fit and put it up. We wont decorate it until after Thanksgiving, but we will get to enjoy the pretty lights until then. Yay!
