6 months old. 26 Weeks Old Tomorrow. Sigh. Slow down, time!
Weight: 20 pounds and 4 ounces by my scale (between the 90-95th percentile)
19 pounds 7 ounces by the doctor's scale (totally don't agree with this number)
Length: 29.5 inches! long! (above 97th percentile)
Wearing: size 3 Huggies diapers and 9 month clothes are starting to get too short in the arms
Feedings: Jack 5-7 ounces of formula a feeding 5 times a day for a total of approximately 32ish ounces a day. He gets two meals of solids a day and has tried cereal, applesauce, pears, and squash among others. He has only not liked peaches (threw up and was terribly fussy)
Favorites: Jack's has two favorites seem to be the same from last month--Sophie and the little toy dog. He also likes his Taggies blanket and his exosaucer. He loves to put anything/everything in his mouth. We have lots of teethers right now. He loves it when mommy blows raspberries on his neck, cheeks, and armpits.
Least Favorites: Jack does not like to be left alone.
Issues: None so far. (knock, knock, patooey, patooey)
Personality: Jack has entered into the shy stage. He lights up when he knows you, but he becomes serious if he isn't sure who you are. It takes him a while to warm up to new people, too.
Areas to work on: Jack is able to sit for very short periods of time. He is getting close! He also has decided that he is too good to roll over. He can roll over both ways. He, however, believes that he really doesn't need to. :-/ Besides, I think he gets side tracked by his thumb.
New Things: Jack has started to play peek a boo! He will hide his eyes with his arms and then slam his arms down and look for me. He just laughs when I say, "Boo!" It is way too cute!
Randomness: Jack has his 6 month well baby visit today. He got 4 shots and an oral vaccine. He has not been a happy camper tonight.
