Pandemic Woes
The kids are all sporting mask tans. LOL. (And we know how blessed we are that silly tans are all that we have to worry us.)

Friday Five
This week went by pretty fast because of the holiday yesterday. Next week, the boys have conference week, so they'll get out early each day. The week after that is fall break! Yay!
~~~
I got my booster on Wednesday. While I didn't have as severe of a reaction as I had for dose #2, I still spent much of Thursday in bed. :( Thankfully, I am feeling better today. Isaac will get his booster next week.
~~~
Jack did pretty good after his first shot. He looked a little droopy after school on Tuesday and Wednesday, but he never said he didn't feel well. He did say his arm hurt, though. He'll get his second dose at the end of the month.
~~~
We decided it is time to finally take down the pool, and wouldn't you know it that we have a mini heat wave? It has been in the upper 80s today, and it is supposed to be warm again tomorrow. Sigh.
~~~
It's time to take out the Christmas tree, too! My plan is to get the living room rearranged so the tree will fit and put it up. We wont decorate it until after Thanksgiving, but we will get to enjoy the pretty lights until then. Yay!

So Brave
This guy couldn't wait for his shot. He did so good, too! He was a little annoyed at the tech who told him the shot wouldn't hurt, though. He spent some time giving the tech the evil eye after it did, indeed, hurt a bit. LOL

Friday Five
Week 4 is in the books. We've officially made it to the one month mark of school. Yay!
~~~
Today Jack woke up with a sore throat. We did the whole "is he" or "isn't he" sick thing, but he assured us his throat was feeling better before it was time for school. Maybe he slept with his mouth open?
When it was still sore when he made it back home this afternoon, we called it. We officially have the first cold of the school year. Sigh.
Thankfully, home Covid test was negative, but he did have to stay home while Shawn and his dad went to Target. He was not happy. :(
School during a pandemic is not without it's stress, that is for sure.
~~~
This week brought school picture day for the big boys! It's always a gamble as to what will come of the day, but I am always hopeful. LOL
~~~
Speaking of pictures, I set a date for our yearly family photos! Now I am stressing out about what to wear. Eek!
~~~
Jack has begged me for more Jell-o tonight. His preference is the blueberry flavor. SO glad jello is easy to make. lol

Lazy Day
It's funny how little we've been doing on the weekends since school started. I think we're all pretty much peopled out by the time the weekend gets here, so we are content to hang out around the house.
Jack went outside to play in the pool for a bit today, so that was something. The other two spent some time playing iPads.
Before we know it, the weekend is over and we're getting ready for school the next day. It goes so fast!

Hair Cuts
Had to make ourselves presentable for the outside world. That means we had to go get some hair cuts!
Before:
After:
Dad took the other two to get their hair cut. Shawn opted for me to cut his hair. :)

Friday Five
Whelp, this was our last Friday before the start of the school year. I start on Monday. The boys start on Tuesday.
We are sad. lol
The boys are nervous/excited about in-person school, so that is nice.
Mom and dad are nervous about the rapidly increasing Covid cases in our area. In fact, today, the county reinstated mandatory mask mandates indoors starting tonight at midnight.
So...yeah.
~~~
Shawn ended up getting sick for a few days this week. It seemed to be sinus/migraine issues, but it really knocked him down for about 24 hours and messed up his sleep (and our sleep) for a few nights. He was mostly back to himself by Thursday afternoon.
The other two boys got a whole lot of quiet iPad time, which they were happy about.
~~~
We had planned to try to get away for a night this week, but didn't end up able to go. So...we'll just need to figure out a different day for us to go. Maybe we can play hookie from school one day. :)
~~~
The wasps have hunted most of the caterpillars in our milkweed. We had tons of them out there, but now, there are only a few. Sigh.
~~~
We headed to an out of town Target today. We had no idea where anything was, but it was kind of fun to go to someplace new.
