(Mostly) Wordless Wednesday - Beyonce

Man! This video is so riveting! It never gets old. That's why we keep saying "again" each time it ends.

I know! The choreography is amazing, too. I think the director was on to something with the whole black and white thing.

Good point. Let's watch it again! "...uh, uh, oooohhhhh"

Not My Child Monday

My child does not have the nerve to bite me on the neck again and then scream when I yelp (maybe too loudly) from the pain. Oh no!

It would be preposterous that I would have to console said crying child while silently cursing from the agony of the bite that didn't happen, right?

Right.

That's what I thought.

Good thing Jason my child who shall remain nameless could never do that. Humph.

But my neck sure is sore for some reason...

Multimedia message

Jason in the car this afternoon. It cracks me up! The best part is his head shake when Elvis starts singing! :-)

Things We've Learned So Far This Summer...

...headbutting is the new hug.

...whatever my brother has is ALWAYS better than what I have--even if it is the EXACT same thing.

...my brother needs to be near me at all times, but good grief he better not touch me! (unless we are headbutting each other, then it is okay)

...ripping paper is hil-ar-ious.

...books are fun--to read and to eat.

...I want to be in mommy's arms when I see that my brother is already there, and NO! holding us both will not do!

...food is fun to throw and looks better on the ground.

...the meanest thing I can do is pull on my brother's glasses, so I do that often. Heh. Heh.

...pulling on my brother's glasses will eventually break them, which happened last week. (but the new frames are purtee)

...being on the grass is really not so bad. Mostly.

...french fries are yummy, but they make you throw up.

...Jeez, those cats are quick!

...food off of mommy's plate always tastes better than food on our trays--even if it is the EXACT same thing.

...we often like the box more than the something that comes in it.

..."no, no, no!" is our signal to mommy to hurry up and see what we are doing!

...is doesn't matter how clean the floor is, we'll still get dirty after 2 seconds.

...the best place to be is on the other side of the kiddie gates.

...Beyonce's "Single Ladies" is one catchy tune. Just ask Jason, and he'll sing "oh, oh, oh.." for you. (I'll try to catch this on video for you. It is funny.)

(Mostly) Wordless Wednesday - Nose

We're learning new words left and right, like this one...

Nose.

Shawn, point to your nose.

Very good, baby! I think next time I need to be more specific. :-)

Talking and Reading

Just hanging out in the afternoon...

(It is sort of long. Sorry about that. How do you edit your babies when they are showing off their genius? You just can't, I tell you!)

What can I say? Our boys like to read! :-)

The Wonders of Junk Mail...

Just chilling in the afternoon...

Look at all this junk mail.

So much to play with!

Wanna see, Shawny?

Here I come...

Here, let me rip some for you.

We had loads of fun ripping paper and making each other laugh. Times like these will never get old. :-)

Happy 4th of July!

Our 4th of July in pictures...

Happy 4th of July, everyone!

The boys showing off their new flag shirts.

Us in the car right before we went to the street fair! We had a great time watching people and buying goodies to eat.

The boys were really good while we were out, and as usual, got lots of attention from just about everyone we saw. (I think it has something to do with Shawn's constant "Hi!" :-) )

After the street fair, we came back and sat outside for a bit.

What is this? Daddy, what did you bring? Yeah! Sparklers!

The boys weren't very interested in the actual burning of the sparklers, though. Instead, they thought the boxes and the sticks were the best.

I love sparklers, mommy!

This is fun!

Daddy and his boys

A family picture
I love this one of Shawn! He looks so sweet. Now Jason...well, I am happy at least one of them was looking at the camera!

Jason's turn to look at the camera. Surprise, Shawn isn't, though!

It is fireworks time! Here we are standing outside in front of our house. We can see the fireworks from the Harbor from our front yard. It was too cute to hear Shawn say "Wow!" over and over again while Jason kept whispering, "What's that?"

We had a wonderful day! It made quite an impression on the boys, too, as evident by today's big word around the house...
"Boom!"

And, lastly, because I am sentimental and all, here is our flashback to the boys' first 4th of July...

Corrupted - It Was Bound to Happen Sooner or Later...

Yesterday's conversation between Isaac and myself via text message:

me: "Your children are now officially corrupted. It's all down hill from here...and boy did they like it. Sigh."

Isaac: "NOOOOOOOOOO!!! I'm not luvin it!"

me: "I don't think I've heard that many yums for ages!"

Isaac: "July 1, 2009. All is lost. My twin boys have started down a path from which few ever return. I will do my best to bring them back, but it will not be easy. You see, today my boys have fallen prey to that dark force known only as...McDonalds."

Think they enjoyed themselves?
