The Keep Growing & Growing

They're not stopping and keep growing and growing. I had to get new shoes for 2 of the crew.

Jack is now in a size 6.

Jason is now in a men's size 11.5 (which could possibly be a 12).

Shawn's feet grow the slowest. He is at a 7 with his dainty little feet. :)

Yikes!

Friday Five

Jack is counting down to his birthday. He is asking on the regular to go somewhere. The location changes with his mood, but the going part stays the same. lol. I don't blame him. It has been a long time since we last did anything.

~~~
We are all looking forward to next week's four day weekend. Can't wait!
~~~

The big boys went on a field trip to the high school this week. Gulp. I'm not sure I am ready for that leap, but it is coming nonetheless. Both said the day went okay and that the high school is big.

~~~
It's been warm and sunny this week. Had to chuckle when two of the boys came home with mask tans on their faces! Never would have seen that one coming pre-pandemic. lol
~~~

Jason got a nerf gun for his Homecoming Day. He and Isaac were outside having a full-on war this afternoon. It was too, funny! They were quite intense and competitive.

Just the Two of Us

After I picked this guy up from school, we headed to the mall to pick up a gift for school. It was pretty nice to spend some time just him and I. SO fun!

Eating some Wetzel's Pretzels in the car afterward.
He approved. LOL

It Finally Happened

Jason and his dad have the same size feet. Well, they aren't exactly the same size, but they are pretty dang close. They are now only 1/2 a size between them.

To compare, here are my feet next to Jason's new shoes. My mind is blown. Jay's feet are now size 12.

Did I mention the mind blown part? Whoa.

Growing Up

This one likes to sit in the front seat whenever he gets the chance now. He looks so grown!

(He refused to smile. Le sigh.)

Almost Grown

I took this shot of Shawn talking to his dad this afternoon. I can't believe how GROWN he is all of a sudden. His body is so long!

Cute Big Boy Saturday

Oh, this kid...

He's a stinker, but I love him to pieces. ❤️

So LONG!

It amazes me how fast this kid is getting. He is just so long, all of a sudden. It won't be too much longer before he's taller than me.

I was sitting on the couch, so I was sort of looking up at him.
He's all torso!

Where he is compared to me.

Growing Like a Weed

Jack felt a bit taller to me this weekend...sure enough. He's grown an inch in the last month! That explains the constant eating that he's been doing lately. lol

So Big

My mind was blown when I looked over and realized how big this guy has become. When did that happen?!

Friday Five

The boys made it through their first week back from spring break. Things went pretty well, which is nice. Next week starts hybrid classes start in-person, so their schedules will change. Jack starts his new schedule on Monday. Shawn and Jason start theirs on Thursday.

9 weeks left of school for them. Yay!

~~~
Things are getting exciting in the boys' math classes. Jack started working on long division (remainders - gasp!). The other two are working on solving variables and graphing. Fun!
~~~

Shawn and I made cupcakes again this week. This week we made triple chocolate cupcakes with chocolate icing. Yum - my.

I love that he has taken an interest in baking.

~~~
Jason decided that Pez containers are too short and don't hold enough candy in them. He decided he wanted to create a container that is much larger. Here is his vision.
~~~

Jack was telling me about how he thinks his life will be when he's older. He says he's going to marry Jocelyn, a girl in his class, and have 5 kids. He's going to live in a red house here in town and drive a white car. He has no vision about his job, but he does know he is going to do lots of fun things - we can pretty much assume he'll be independently wealthy if lots of fun things are in his plan. LOL

He's Grown a Little

These pictures were taken on his birthday, exactly 1 year apart. He's grown a little!

This also could be why his pants didn't fit last week! ;)

Last Day of 9

These are the last pictures of Jack as a 9 year old. Tonight, when we tucked our boy in bed, we kissed the year of 9 goodbye.

This year has been like no other, but our boy accepted any challenges with a smile. We are so very proud of him.

Somehow, our baby is going to be 10 tomorrow. Not sure how that happened. ðŸ’œ May the year of 10 bring our sweet boy joy, laughter, love and so much more!

Speaking of Growing Up...

This kid has had a growth spurt. He's always been my big kiddo, but I can't get over how BIG he is right now. He isn't even 10 yet!

I'm 5'9" for reference. :)

Toothless Again!

This kid lost his 19th tooth today! How can he almost be done losing his baby teeth? He needs to stop growing up so fast! Sniff, sniff...
