Cute Baby Saturday - Crafty Kiddos

The boys had a big day. First, they visited our family salon, "De Hair 'Em, Scare 'Em," which was a bit hit. Or not. Still batting at 50% on this one. The boys look good, though. ;-)

Then they got to make a Mother's Grandmother's Day Gift for Grandma. (Mom, if you haven't seen us yet when you are reading this...surprise! Ahem.)

This year I wanted to do something that would memorialize the boys' hands. I started off by using a clay-like material that just never got hard enough to keep from breaking easily, so this project is actually our second attempt. If the first try was too fragile, this one has gone to the other extreme. This time we worked with cement and made grandma stepping stones for her garden.

The big boys and I are mixing up the cement.

Okay. We had to put his hand in the cement a few times.
There was a bit of a learning curve on this step.

Then he got to add some beautiful pebbles to his design.

Shawn was up next. You can tell by his face that he
was suuuuuuper excited about putting his hand in cement.

Not deterred, I pushed on.
Those are tears of JOY, people!

Now it is Shawn's turn to add his pebbles.
