Shawn ended up missing a school on Thursday. The poor guy was a mess when he woke up that day. He still has a cough and some congestion, and you can tell he doesn't feel the best, but he did go to school today because he wanted to.
Jack was the one who brought this round of crud home. He is still congested, but he stills to be handling it well enough.
Jason is at the start of getting this. He started complaining about a sinus headache two days ago. Now he has a cough...we shall see how it progresses with him.

Already we have a costume change for Jack. He has decided he wants to be a Minecraft Creeper. We have officially entered that territory with him. Now he and Jason play the game together, but honestly it seems like all the do is try to annoy each other.
"Jack, stop breaking my house." That's often followed by wild laughter and more yelling.
Fun times.

Shawn is doing so well with his Spanish! Our kitchen wall is starting to fill with different vocabulary words, and we practice each night. He did really well on his vocab test today, too!

One thing that Jack has been working hard on this year is his writing. He is doing so well! He had a tendency to hurry when he wrote last year, which led to a messy kind of chicken scratch. This year, though, he is slowing himself down so his writing is so much nicer. The chicken scratch does show up from time to time, too, but we see it so much less now. So proud of him.

Jason is almost finished with his story! He has been working hard on it. We've had a few discussions about the writing craft and word selection, but I am just amazed at his natural talent!
