So, I got the idea in my head that we needed to go see the bunny on Saturday. Isaac was not looking forward to the trip. It was Saturday, the weekend before Easter, at 4:00 in the afternoon. He was a naysayer and just knew it would take forever.
But I would not be deterred in my quest. (shh...I'm stubborn like that.) We were going to go and it would all work out just fine I assured him.
He didn't believe me, but he went anyway.
And you know what?
I. Was. Totally. RIGHT!! There wasn't a single other person in line. The boys were great and looked so cute on the bunny's lap, especially because the bunny was wearing glasses, too! (I swear it was like it was planned that way. :-) )
Our time in the mall took no longer than 15 minutes, most of which was spent making the clerk reprint the pictures three times because they kept cutting Shawn's head off when they put the Easter border around the pictures.
---
Now for what you all come around here for...the pictures!
When we put the boys on the bunny's lap, both were cool, calm, and collected. Isaac and I each put a child down and backed up so the photographers could get a shot. The boys just sat there staring at all the people walking around.
And then...
the photographers started making all this noise to get the boys' attention. Now that was the part the boys were not too sure about.
They weren't exactly enjoying themselves, but it would have been okay without the noise. Note the look of confusion on their faces...
Shawn did not like all the yelling and noise the three photographers were making. Hence, the next picture looked like this...
Once he started crying, Shawn wanted nothing to do with his bunny ears, either. Jason took a cue from Shawn and started to pull his ears off, too. (imagine several shots of tears and flying bunny ears)
Our response was to whip out the best baby invention evvvveeeerrrrr.
The pacifier! The photographers also gave the boys little rubber bunnies. Peace was restored to the dynamic duo and we managed to get this last shot.
