The Park

Today we went to the park!

Here was our first stop--the swings!

Jason really liked the swings.

He laughed and giggled the entire time he was on them.

He didn't want to get off, either!

Shawn was a little slower to warm up to the swing experience.

Things started off okay, and he seemed to be enjoying himself.

But then...he really wasn't!

Isn't that the saddest face? (I know. I torture my children and make them cry while I take pictures!)

So, Shawn moved on to the purple dinosaur. Now this guy was high on Shawn's list of good things.

Even though it doesn't look like it. Trust me when I say that the boy loved to bounce on this thing.

Then we moved on to the slide.

Shawn and the slide was not a good mix.

At. All.

Jason's turn!

Not too shabby, he seems to be saying.

Get outta my way, mom...

Jason went down the slide a few times before he was ready to move on to the next thing.

...which was the tree!

He wasn't quite sure about the tree. He didn't exactly want to touch it, and there was some neighborhood dog barking which totally distracted him. (Sigh. He doesn't get the concept of photo opportunities yet.)

Shawn didn't get a chance to sit in the tree, so I'm not sure if he would have liked it or not. Frankly, by this point, I think Shawn was a little "parked out" if you get what I mean.

But he did enjoy trying to get the camera, which is how I managed to get this shot.

Isn't he a cutie pie?

I think we had a really good time. We can't wait to go back!
