Jack:
Jack is still reading and actively taking his AR points despite not being in school. He currently has 83.5 points. Not too shabby. He's currently reading a book he got for his birthday, Super Rabbit All-Stars!: A Branches Book (Press Start!). He's also read a few shorter non-fiction books on the solar system. I'm looking for a good chapter book series to get him into, but he prefers the shorter, non-fiction books at the moment.
Jason:
Jay just finished his book Divergent by Veronica Roth last night. It's a trilogy, so he's waiting for the second book in the series to come in the mail. Until then, he's reading A World After...Super-Plague by Anne Rooney. He says he's getting some ideas for the book he's writing.
Shawn:
Shawn is reading two books right now. He's reading The Worst Night Ever by Dave Barry via audiobook for independent reading time. Together, he and I are reading Who Was Frederick Douglass? by April Prince. I think he's enjoying both of them, which is HUGE and makes me so happy. :)
