Friday Five

Week 6 of social distancing is over. 42 days at home now. I did have to go to work to pick up some things this week, and Isaac went out to fill a prescription. Other than that, no one went beyond our property.

I think we are all in the groove of this normal. Of course, we have some bad days among the mix, but most of the days have been pretty good. It's so bizarre what a body will get used to.

~~~
We've also successfully completed our first week of (on the books) distance learning. Assignments were completed and turned in. Books were read. Learning happened.
I'm calling it a success.
Jack has reading, math, writing, PE, Social Studies (which we haven't been doing), and Lexia each day. He will have his first Zoom meeting with his class next week.
Jason has at least one Zoom meeting a day; Today he had two. He's been working on reading, math, social studies, PE, and AVID. He will have science, but his teacher is out on maternity leave for the next two weeks and there has been some trouble getting a sub set up with the technology.
Shawn has had reading, writing, math/science, and social studies so far. We just got contacted by his adaptive PE teacher, so I assume that will start next week. We haven't yet heard from his elective teacher, which we are totally fine with for the time being.
The boys continue to sleep in the same room. We haven't even bothered to move Jack's mattress back into his room the last few days. They all seem to fall asleep faster together, so I can't complain. (Plus it's cute to see them all in there together at night.)
We've kept them on the same sleep schedule, so they are up most mornings by 7 and in bed at 9:30.
~~~

We've got a heat wave coming this weekend--our first in a long while. I hope we don't melt!
