It's that time of year again! Elfie, our Elf on the Shelf, is back to hide around the house. He's ready to take notes on how the boys are behaving and report back to Santa on their "naughty" or "nice" status.

He came with a note to the boys:
Dear Shawn, Jason, and Jack,
I've been waiting forever,
or at least it seems,
Finally you decorated
your magic Christmas tree!
So I'm BACK from the North Pole,
I missed you my dears!
Santa sent me again
to be his eyes and his ears.
Every night I will fly
to give Santa advice,
on whether you were naughty that day
or wonderfully nice.
The rules are the same
and I hope you agree.
I can't talk to you,
and please don't touch me.
But just in case,
someone gives me a feel,
I had Santa whip up some magic
to help me heal.
But no worries my sweets
there is fun to share.
You never know when Elfie
will show up somewhere!!

Because we all know that it is only a matter of time before Jack does get Elfie in his hands.

Word on the street is that Elfie is pretty happy with his gig at our house because the boys are pretty solidly on the "nice" list. (It definitely makes and elf's job a whole lot easier when the kids he or she is watching are good.)
