Jack has also been known to have all three of the LeapPads on at the same time with all playing different things.

You know what makes you cringe after investing far too much money in a nice educational zoo trip?
"Hey, mom, remember when we saw that giraffe peeing at the zoo? That was the best."
I bet he'll remember the peeing for years to come. The stuff we learned about all the other really cool animals at the zoo has already been lost. Sigh.

We are slowly getting used to the no glasses for Jason. At this point, I think it is Shawn who is having the hardest time with them gone. He reminds Jason often that he needs to go get his glasses.
As much as I hate those glasses, it makes me a tiny bit sad to see them gone, too.

We got the boys' report cards last week. Nothing makes a mom (and dad, too) prouder than reading things like this:
"Shawn is working toward meeting or exceeding kindergarten standards. Sh.awn demonstrates strength in blending sounds to form words and reading. We will continue to encourage more challenging texts. Shawn also enjoys math and numbers. Shawn's progress this trimester is remarkable. Keep up the great work, Shawn!"
and
"Jason is working toward meeting or exceeding kindergarten standards. Currently, Jason is showing tremendous growth in reading, math (number sense), and verbal skills. In the third trimester, we will continue to find ways to push Jason beyond kindergarten expectations."
Awesome, right?

Jack has started to come up with some funny things lately. His language has made another huge leap, so he's saying a lot more. Plus, a new thing he does is when he really wants me to listen to what he's saying, he drops the tone of his voice to as deep as he can get it. It never fails to get my attention because it is so different. lol. It is hilarious!

Jack cracks me up.
I have to admit that I was oober impressed when I saw an elephant pee at the zoo once. I'm ashamed to admit that I was an adult at the time, and that I can still remember it clearly. It was impressive!!!
Good job Shawn and Jason in school!
