His Intentions Were Clear

Jack is pretty good at getting us all to understand what he wants. Sometimes he uses his words, but he has other tools up his sleeve, too.

Take tonight, for instance. We were decorating the Christmas tree, and Jack wanted to do something that I think he was pretty certain we wouldn't let him do. From what I can tell, it had to do with climbing up the back of his dad's chair, the lamp, and a few of the Christmas tree ornaments.

So, in an apparent attempt to avoid all the drama he thought he'd get from us, Jack grabbed his daddy's hand and led him down the hall. He shoved Isaac into his dark bedroom, told him goodnight, and SHUT the door on him.

Then he came back for me!

He led me all the way to the closed door before he got distracted enough for me to "get away."

He wasn't one hundred percent successful, but you can bet his intentions were clear. He was getting rid of his main obstacles so he could do what he wanted.

Sigh.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. We are SO in for it with this one!
