Mostly Wordless Wednesday - Awards!

Today the kindergarten classes had an awards assembly. The kids were honored for achievements in academics or citizenship over the first trimester. Our boys both got certificates for their achievements in academics - Jason in Language Arts and Shawn for his achievements in mathematics!

Jay was just chillin' on the stage. He had no idea what he
was there for, which made it all the better.

He loves his teacher and her golden hair. :)

Jason's was the very first award given.
He was shocked when he heard his name!
It was awesome!

Here he is getting his award.
This is his assistant principal is handing it to him.

His award is for Excellence in Writing: Using Phonemic Spelling

Showing off his certificate to the crowd!

He was just so cute!

Then it was Shawn's turn! His award was the very last given.
Doesn't it look like he was basking in the applause by holding his hand to his ear. lol

Shawn with his teacher. :)

Shawn's award is for Mathematics: Counting to 100
His teacher said he was the first one to do this, which he
did a long time ago. The next highest award for counting was
given to a child who could count to 29. Go Shawn!

He thought the stage was kind of cool, too.

Thank you for my award, Mrs. D.

We're so very proud of you boys! Way to go!!!
