Texts

One of the ways that Isaac and I keep each other updated is through text. He usually texts each morning to let me know how it went getting the boys to school (I'm already at work at this point). I text him and tell him how the various appointments went, too (while he's at work). It's a good system for us because not only does it allow us to stay in the loop, but also it lets us have a nice record of everything that happens.

Today's texts went like this:

Isaac: All dropped off. (The boys are) Happy and ready to go. Mrs. D is out again.
Darlene said they are kind of scrambling to find someone.  I'm guessing Mrs. D is out sick. BTW, I got a really great compliment while walking the boys to class.  A nice woman said to me, "You're one of the best dads in the whole world." Kind of caught me off guard. I told her thank you and have a great day!

Me: That is a great compliment! You're a good dad to your boys.

Isaac: I did tell her, "I'm trying." I should have told her, "If you think I'm good,
you should meet their mom!"

~~~
Yep, the boys are pretty lucky to have Isaac as their daddy. I'm pretty lucky, too. :)
