Five for Friday

1) Isaac was playing the boys' keyboard this evening. Jack loved listening to him play and would run over anytime he'd stop, grab his fingers, and make him hit the keys. When Isaac would start up again, Jack would walk away cheering and clapping. He's his daddy's biggest fan.

2) My routine is to call my mom's every afternoon to check on the boys and ask how their day went. Yesterday when I called, I talked to Shawn first, who said the day went well. Usually Shawn is the only one who wants to talk, but I was surprised when Jason asked to get on the phone, too. He said the day was 'Great!" because he played with Layla at recess. "She's my number one fan!" Lol.

3) Shawn's new phrase to throw around is "It's my day off." Anytime I ask him to do something that he doesn't want to do, "It's my day off," is his response. While I can understand the sentiment behind the statement, I hate to tell him that there are no "days off" around these parts. He might be sad when he finally realizes I'm serious about that. ;)

4) We are getting closer to narrowing down the whole Halloween costume question. At one point, Shawn wanted to be a skunk which I'd be okay with if I could find one. Thankfully, he moved on to another choice shortly after that. He may have made a decision this evening. Fingers crossed. Jason, on the other hand, has a list of ten options with one possible frontrunner. I have no idea what Jack is going to be, though.

5) Jason's fifth tooth is very loose. It's likely to come out this weekend!
