Someone canvassing the neighborhood knocked on our door this afternoon to talk about tomorrow's election. He didn't stay at the door for much longer than a minute, but it was long enough...
S: Who was that, mommy?
Me: That was someone who wanted to talk to me about who to vote for tomorrow.
J: What is vote?
Me: It's a chance for people to choose someone they want to be the president.
S: I want to vote!
J: Me, too!
J: What is president?
Me: The president is the leader of our country.
S: Mommy, what's a country?
Me: That's where you live.
J: No fair! I want to be the leader!
S: No, I'm going to be the leader!
J: No you're not! I am!
