Let's start with Mr. Shawn. Today he decided that merely playing beside the sandbox was not good enough. Today, it was only acceptable to be in the sandbox. (I find enough sand on this boy when he is outside the box. I figured it would take a month to get him cleaned up after playing in it!)
Hey look, mommy. It's a dirt plod...sod...um, what is this? It's a dirt clod, Shawn. Oh. Look, mommy. It's a dirt clod!
Look at this! When you squeeze it really hard, it breaks! Poof!
Look, mommy. It's a teeny, tiny dirt plod...um, clod.
Jason, on the other hand, gravitated to the empty flowerbed. He collected rocks and used his bulldozer to move them around.
Look at my pile, mom. I'm about to move 'em to the dump truck.
See this rock right here? It's my favorite. Yep. I like that one. (insert an emphatic head nod and eyebrow lift)
He also loved it. The fun culminated for him when he showed me the "plant" he found. He was so excited to show me it even still had its roots! Lol. We are now the proud cultivators of a beautiful little weed, which will probably flourish and overtake my barren flower bed.
Which leaves us with Mr. Tank. Now his experience began with the slide. He has now progressed to sliding on his own, thank you very much. He was quick to find, though, that he did want me close to catch him as he shot off the end. Too funny. (No pictures of the slide because I only have one set of hands, and I cannot figure out how to take pictures while making sure the brave one doesn't fall off the dang thing and break his neck!)
Fine. Then I'll just take a look at this little green, leafy thing in the dirt. No? I can't do that, either? You never let me do ANYTHING, mommy!
It was such a nice day. I hereby declare that every week should be comprised of three day weekends--with the full time pay, of course.
Who's with me?
Just think of the adventures we could have!
