Jack had to create Santa's Village for a math project this week. After he created and decorated the village, he had to find the perimeter and area of all of the buildings. I'm not sure that Jack exactly enjoyed the creation of the village, although he did enjoy thinking about what buildings should be in the village. He decided that there should be Elf houses, Santa's house, Santa's workshop, reindeer house, reindeer playground, toy workshop, sleigh barn, and an airstrip (for sleigh flight, obviously!). That was about as far as he wanted to go with the project. LOL. He pushed through, though, and did a good job in the end. :)

After having some trouble in one of Jason's classes, I requested a group change for him. I have to say that it has made a world of difference in the kid's outlook. Where he once dreaded getting up on the mornings he had the class, this week was completely different. I am so glad the teacher responded so positively to my request. I'm even more glad that Jason has, too!

This has been sort of a roller coaster of a week for Shawn, and I am not quite sure why. (Maybe a bit of anxiety about a school break? I don't know for certain.) He did manage to end on a high note, though. He even did well on his science test today, too. We made it through, so we will call it all a win. :)

We have big plans for our Saturday. First up is some gingerbread house decorating. After that, the boys get to wrap the gifts they bought for each other. That should be loads of fun, too. lol
