Mr. Jack had a great time at his birthday party on Saturday.
He could hardly wait to open his birthday presents.
| Practicing his opening techniques while we waited for family to get here. |
To be honest, the boys could hardly wait for Jack to open his presents, either. In fact, it took some doing to get them to fully understand that
only Jack got presents today. lol.
Jack isn't a big cake fan, so I decided that he'd get a peanut butter cupcake this year. He loves peanut butter. I had high hopes that this would be the time he loved cake!
| What do I do with this? |
| It's so pretty! Maybe I should check it out. |
| Hey wait a minute. I don't think I like that thing! |
It was no surprise, when he wasn't interested in actually eating his cupcake, though.
| I'm not eating that, mommy. |
| Go away! I don't like it! |
| His face after I told him he didn't have to have any. Sigh. |
Then we were on to presents.
Everyone was ready for a little paper ripping.
It was a BBQ, a definite hit with the little people. |
| This unwrapping business is serious. |
| Jack opened some wooden food. |
| The food also impressed all the little people. |
| He got some more books by his favorite author. |
He was not impressed with the boy on his head.
(It didn't matter that his momma was. Ahem.) |
He even got his first $20 bill.
You can see that he was impressed by money. |
| More books and a ball! |
The last present of the evening was a tent!
You know how it is with kids. Give them all these neat
presents, and it's the box that is the big hit. That thing
is still sitting in my living room for him to play in! |
Lastly, mommy and daddy got to get a quick picture with the birthday boy.
These two years have flown by! Happy Birthday, Jack. We love you very much!

I laughed out loud looking at the pictures of Jack with his cupcake, especially when I got to the one where he is so happy he didn't have to eat it!
