The twos? They weren't so terrible for us, you see. I mean, how terrible can you be with only two years of experience under your belts. I miss those days.
As three year olds, these boys have strong little wills. And big mouths. And words that sound a lot like the ones that come from my mouth. They can be so cooperative and easy going...until things are no! longer! going! how! they! want! Jeez. It is at those moments I wish that they came with "off" buttons. :-)
I know some of this has to do with there being a brand new baby here to take some (a lot) of the attention they normally get. It is a little too coincidental that many of our "incidents" happen during Jack's feeding time. But, I also think that a lot of this has to do with the simple fact that they are now 3.
3 can be wonderful and fun and full of new adventures.
3 can also be full of tantrums and tears and time outs!
Oh the drama!
Take this morning for instance. Jason was having a rough start. First, I had the nerve to put sweat pants on him. He wanted the OTHER pants. Cue tears and wailing and general discontent.
I ignored him and went in to the kitchen. I came back to him pantless. Sigh.
For lunch, he asked for a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. No problem. It is one of my culinary specialties! Somewhere between the asking and the getting, he decided that his peanut butter and jelly sandwich should have only jelly. When I gave him the sandwich, he promptly ate the jelly side and left the peanut butter side.
Stinker.
So that brings us to this little scene...
Sigh. The award for most dramatic video goes to ... Jason! (I have to that Shawn does give Jason a pretty good run for his money, especially when it comes to my phone, or the computer, or the television!)
About 5 minutes after I filmed him, he ate the sandwich. He didn't say anything. He was no longer crying. He just decided it was HIS time to eat.
Couldn't he have done that without all of the screaming?
Apparently not.
Three, I hereby dub thee "Terrible."
Two, I now consider you "Terrific."
