Kidbits: Our Life in a Series of Face Book Updates... Part 2

Alternately known as "Our Life in 420 Characters or Less..."
---

Proof that I spend too much time with junior high kids: Every time the clock on Wow Wow Wubbzy rings at the start of the show, Jason yells, "That's a COCK! That's a COCK!" and I practically fall onto the floor laughing. I so need to grow up! :-)

**Edited to add: he has corrected this. Boo...oh, I mean yeah!

---

We talk about 1 bodily function or another a lot. Normally that's no big deal, but at Target this weekend an older woman stopped to talk to the boys. The 1st words out of Shawn's mouth were, "Did you poop?" He wasn't finished. "Do you have gas?" he asked her next, this time loud enough to attract the attention of other shoppers nearby. That poor woman--I need to work a little more on the social graces, huh? hehe

This morning Shawn discovered that straws make the best bubbles in juice. Who knew?!? It was too funny to watch!

Listening to Jason sing to himself right now. He SHOULD be sleeping. Tomorrow is going to be fun, especially because it is my morning to get up with the boys!

Shawn is finally cutting one of his molars. He has not been a happy boy. I've been getting some great snuggle time, though.

**Edited to add: That molar is mostly in, but none of the others have made their appearance yet. He is chewing on his fingers a lot, though.

---

Shawn has spent the morning and last night touching the "yowyer" (other) of everything. He'll touch your ear and then has to touch your "yowyer" ear, and so on... It is never ending. I didn't realize how many "yowyer" things I had on my body and in my house!

Couldn't figure out why Shawn's glasses kept sliding down his nose. I thought they had somehow bent the nose piece when I took them in yesterday. I checked his glasses & found the eye glass place had put the pads in facing the wrong way. Seriously. How do you screw something like that up? Isn't that glasses care 101? Once that problem was fixed, it was amazing how WELL they stay on his nose. Sigh.

Edited to add: The lens popped out of his glasses sometime during that same week! It freaked poor Shawn out because I think he thought he was going to get into trouble. All is well now.

We had Jason's eye surgery follow up exam today. Music to my ears..."Jason's eyes are perfectly aligned!" Whoot! Can't beat that, now can we? :-)

Two faces to wash, and four dirty hands. Two insistent voices, making demands. Twice as much crying, when things go wrong. The four eyes closing, with slumber song. Twice as many garments, blowing on the line. Two cherubs in the cart, soaking up sunshine. Work I do for twins, naturally comes double, but four arms to hug me repay all my trouble! ♥ ♥

Cut the boys' hair again tonight. It wasn't pretty. You'd think I was cutting their ears off or something. I swear our neighbors are going to call CPS on us one of these days!

(I'm patting my self on the back because they look pretty darn cute now!)

Okay. Here is one for you. We were finishing up breakfast this morning. Jason asked if he could go play. I told him to hold on for a minute because I was waiting until Shawn had a chance to finish, too. Jason grabbed the table and said with a very serious tone, "Are you holding on, too, mommy?" I almost died! The boy is a comedian!

Everyday while he is with my mom, Shawn goes around the house saying that mommy and daddy are at work. Today, he was looking right at me and kept repeating, "Mommy at work!" I'd tell him, "No, I am right here." We went on like that for a bit before I finally asked him if he wanted mommy to go to work. "Okay." was the response. The little stinker! I think he was mad because I kept making him wear his glasses!
