You know what they say--children find entertainment in the simplest things, and it is never what you may think.
Buy your children an expensive toy, and they'll ignore the toy and play with the box it came in for hours.
Have a room full of educational things for children to play with, and they'd rather play with something from around the house.
My children have found the laundry basket. This thing has become a new fixture to our living room as well as a focal point for some pretty heated exchanges between the dynamic duo. If one is near it, the other wants to be near it, too. If one is in it, the other one wants in it, too. (note: Putting both boys in the basket at the same time sounds like a good idea. Take my word on the fact that it really isn't. Oh boy is it not a good idea.)
It goes something like this: It's mine (pantomimed of course)...no it's mine (also in pantomime)...wahhhhh (why isn't this in pantomime?)...wahhhhh (louder)...
I am sure you get the idea.

Shawn was here enjoying the basket. Along came Jason...
Um, mom? Could you kindly tell him to buzz off?
Hey! That's mine!
Mom!
Oh, good. He's leaving. I didn't really want that orange ring anyway.
But it really was the best ring. How come he always gets the good stuff?
Wait! Now he wants my yellow ring, too!
No, mommy! I don't want the orange ball. I want the orange ring!
Brothers...bleh.
Double bleh.
At least I have the basket to myself!
And then, when we all try to "play" together...
Shawn: This ball is mine.
Jason: Nuh uh. It's mine!
Me: Boys! Stop it!!!
These last ones are of Jason with the basket all by himself. He had pulled it across the room to get it away from Shawn.
What?
Ha Ha! I got the basket!
He's looking a bit smug here, isn't he? Cute, but definitely smug. I'm in trouble with this one.

He knows exactly what he did. That little face is adorable, guilty or not.
Hi, just found your blog at Hopeful mother's. I also have twin boys, about 1 month older than yours. And I also have one with glasses - I see you have both with glasses. Your boys are adorable. Pop over if you are interested.
