One of the skills the boys will be expected to master by 18 months is writing on paper. Jason will have nothing of it. All he wants to do is chew on the pencil.
Shawn, on the other hand, just finished his first masterpiece.
We call it "Scribbles and Drool." I'm so proud!

How sweet!!! Put that up on the refrigerator! That's where all the masterpieces go! Lots of love to you and the family!
Way to go Shawn!! Come on Jason, you can do it too.
I remember when the doc asked me if Tyler knew what to do with a pen and paper. My answer of course was "NO". My thought was "who in their right mind would give a child at that age something to write with?!?!" That is one of the craziest mile stones at that age. Keep up the great work. Love to all.
Awesome job Shawn! Jason, now you can do this too. Except, since when is that an 18 month old benchmark? I don't remember letting my kids even deal with pencils/crayons, etc. until they were over 2 or 3 and not then unless they were heavily guarded for fear their masterpieces would end up on the floor or walls.
Oh well! Cute drawing set up! I can hear it now "Drawings are for paper. Pencils and crayons draw on paper!"
Have fun!
Love to you all,
Martha
