Here is the good news:
- Jason is 28.25 inches long (I measured 29 inches, so I bet the more accurate length is somewhere between my measurement and theirs)
- Jason weighs 17 pounds (I weighed him at 18, but again, I imagine the actual reading is somewhere between the two)
- Shawn is 27 inches long (I measured him at 26.5 inches)
- Shawn weighs 16 pounds (I weighed him at 17, but well, you know the story)
- They are both on the growth charts for their actual age. WhooHoo.
- They get to start vegies and fruits (umm...okay. I didn't confess that I already started them on both.)
- We can have teething crackers.
- They are stuck with the totally, ridiculously, high priced formula for the time being. (Boo-this isn't exactly good news for me, but whatever.)
- We can take Motrin if the need arises.
- And they BOTH should be sleeping through the night now. Jason does, but Shawn gets up once. So, now Isaac has nothing to argue with me about on that point! :-) (He tends to be a pushover when it comes to Shawn.)
- The hunger strike continues, but the pedi wasn't concerned about it. So, I suppose I shouldn't be either. But, still... Sigh.
Food wise, the boys have had rice cereal, oatmeal w/bananas, carrots, the beloved pears, and tonight they start green beans. No allergies that I've noticed. Yea. They tolerate everything, but they love pears. Mmmm...pears are good. Anyway, I hope they like the green beans better than the carrots.
Oh, and happy vacation to me! School's out for sum - mer! Yeah, baby!
**Update**
Shawn didn't mind the green beans too much. They still aren't as good as those pears, but doable. I'll take that.
Jason, on the other hand? Well, I'll let you decide what his feelings are...

I hear you on the summer thing. 17 and 18 pounds, not bad. Glad all is going well.

Yah for summer!!! We have been on summer break since May 23, but we go back much earlier than you. I was always told if they don't like something try adding a little of their formula/breast milk to it. Both of mine hated peas (still do). I tried it and it didn't work for me, but who knows it might work for you. Don't waste your money buying baby juice. Regular apple juice is the exact same, just not diluted. Just give them half juice and half water or if you are not comfortable with that do 1/4 juice and the rest water. It is much cheaper.
Take care and hugs to all,
Love,
jen
Hi Stacey...Yea!!!!! we are out. I know that your summer will be great because you get to spend the WHOLE day with the boys. That is deffinately a good thing.. It is also a good thing about the apple juice...Well, off to Michigan and Wisconson (going to be really hot) will see you in a few weeks for lunch. GOOD WORK BOYS, eat your green beans. See you soon Judy
They have to weigh more than that
I swear they have to lol it seems
like they do!!! Jason's face is so priceless I love it!! poor babies
had to get 5 shots though! ugh! I
hope you guys will take them on
their walks still : ))
I'm glad to see they are doing well
Yippee! More good reports from the "D" word (shhhh - doctor). I like how you said pedi instead.
I gave my kids everything - like it or not - even spinach. Maybe you can add some pears to everything - put the pears on the front of the spoon and the other stuff in back. That way by the time it gets in their mouth they won't know what hit them. Hey I did anything to get those veggies in them - and now they eat everything except the things I didn't like which were . . .Brussel Sprouts! Yup that's right!
Well, look forward to seeing you all soon! Have fun on your break!
Love to all of Team Lopez,
Martha
