Friday Five

Well, the boys have come to their last day of winter break. I have to say that they've had a pretty great vacation. They've had lots of down time and rest. They've done lots of activities while still managing to sneak in the iPad time they covet. Although they are sad to see the time off end, I think they're ready to go back to school and see their friends, too.

~~~
Shawn enjoyed his bike riding so much! He has asked daily to go back out again. Hopefully we can get back out again this weekend.
~~~

We're thinking of doing a last hurrah of sorts this weekend. We have our thinking caps on trying to come up with something fun.

~~~
We came up with new nicknames for the boys. Jason - crab; Shawn - pester; Jack - paper cut. (Each name appropriate for the given kid's situation this week. Sheesh.) The one who complained the loudest about the new name? Jack. LOL I think he was insulted I would comment on his trauma. ðŸ¤£
We've all had fun putting together puzzles this week. This might be a new family thing we can do regularly. Yay!
Cruisin' the Hood
This weekend we got the chance to go riding around the neighborhood. They had a blast and can't wait to go out again!
We took a pit stop at the park for some rest.
Pour Painting
Shawn and I worked on some pour painting this weekend. He's quite pleased with how his masterpieces came out!
This painting has every one of the 18 colors
he had in his art kit. lol
They're still drying, but they'll soon go up on Shawn's museum wall. :)
Friday Five on Saturday
Jack had a dentist appointment yesterday. He got his teeth cleaned and had x-rays done. He had the best time and was so good! He does have a cavity, so he'll be going back in two weeks to get that taken care of, too.
~~~

This is my last weekend of break. I'm sad. It has been so nice to be at home with the crew. The boys still have one more week of break left. They don't go back until the 13th!

~~~
Shawn and I worked on some of his pour art yesterday. They came out so cool, and he is excited to add them to his museum wall in his room. We are in a holding pattern on that, though, while we wait for them to dry.
~~~

I've had to get these guys bigger clothes again. Jason is in a size men's small shirt now and a size 14 pants. Shawn can also wear a men's size small shirt, but it's on the baggy side. A boy's size 16 is a better fit. He is now in a size 12 pants. Jack is all body. He is in a size 12 shirt. A size 10/12 pants are still waaaaay too loose on him around his waist, but he needs the length. Right now, I'm keeping him in size 8 pants and letting them be a little short on him while I figure out what pants will work best. lol

~~~
Jason is almost done with his second book in the Hunger Games series. He says he really likes it. Yay!
