Memories of Tiny Things

Every so often, something comes up that reminds me about how tiny our dynamic duo really was. It always blows my mind each time. It's hard now, to wrap my mind around how tiny they were. When you think of "babies", a person's mind just can't fathom babies that small.

Babies with behinds that were too small to fit in a preemie diaper.

Babies with bottoms that are not even two inches wide.

And yet, they survived.

They grew.

They thrived!

So are so very lucky. ❤️

Friday Five

One week left (and for the boy, a week filled with minimum days) left until a week off for Thanksgiving. Yay!

~~~
Jason's walker got its new wheels. Since then, Jason's had at least two tumbles while maneuvering through school. The latest one yesterday, left him with a little road rash on his elbow and scrapes on his back (of all places). We're not sure if the new wheels are at fault, but he hasn't really ever fallen before now...so it makes us wonder. Hopefully next week goes better for him!
~~~

Pictures were postponed until after Thanksgiving. Can't wait!

~~~
The boys report their favorite subjects are as follows:
Jason - PE
Shawn - Science
Jack - Reading (specifically AR)
~~~

Speaking of AR, Jack is proud that he's reached his first trimester AR goal - 25 points. I'm always pretty impressed with that as I can't even get my much older students to read that much in a trimester!

~~~
Shawn is anxiously awaiting Christmas. Seriously. He. cannot. wait. LOL. He doesn't ever really care what he gets for Christmas (how is that for trusting mom to know you?!), but he gets so excited decorating and doing the festive stuff that goes on during the season. I so love that!
Ninja Wars
It got a little intense in there, too...
Shawn had enough sense to stay out it. These two were out for blood.
Museum Update
Shawn wanted to create some paintings to hang in his museum. The two of us got to work! Sadly, I don't have any pictures of the process...but the finished product is pretty awesome! (Note to self, remember to take pictures while we do stuff!)
Donut Man
Dad took Jason to go get donuts after his doctor appointment. It looks like he's pretty happy with his selections!
Thankfulness Pumpkins
We had a few pumpkins left from our patch trip. We decided to make them into thankfulness pumpkins!
We painted our pumpkins - each of us got a different color.
We used markers to write all the things we are thankful for on the pumpkins
Shawn's first thing was "family." His number two thing was
"brothers." Melt my heart!
Our finished pumpkins!
He was so excited to work on the computer. He's doing some homework here. :)
