The weather was beautiful, so outside we went!

Friday Five

The boys' school Valentines were a hit. Both had a blast handing them out and celebrating with their class. They both also racked up some points with all the ladies by asking just about every one they saw if she would be their Valentine. lol! Way to work it, boys.

Got to love it when a little person decides for himself that it is time to do something. No matter how much his parents want him to do it, it just won't happen until the boy decides it is time. (Much to his parents' frustration!) We had one of those moments this afternoon when the littlest just up and did something we've been trying to get him to do for-ev-er. He decides it's time, and BAM. Done.

Woohoo.

Mom and Dad got to go out for lunch this afternoon while the boys were out at grandma's. Ahhh...so nice!

Jason ended up staying home from school on Tuesday because of his hives. They came back with a vengeance over night, and it was clear that he had a day of more Benadryl and rest on his agenda. Poor guy. Thankfully, he was back to himself on Wednesday.

The boys, in particular Jack and Shawn, have been coming into our room in the morning to snuggle in bed with us. I think it is my favorite part of my day when the crook of my arms are cradling my sweet boys' heads as snuggle under the covers. Sometimes we just lie there quietly; sometimes it is not so quietly. lol. Sigh. I'm going to miss these moments when they decide they are too big to snuggle!

Mostly Wordless Wednesday

Valentines are ready for tomorrow!

They're handing out pencils and glow sticks. Yay!

Coolio Jack

90+ degrees in February just isn't right, I tell you. I have to hand it to Jack, though. He's figured out how to stay cool anyway.

He turned the fan on high and plopped himself down right in front of it. Ahhhh...

Not Exactly the Way We Imagined It

Today was the boys' 100th day of the school. They didn't have anything special going on, thankfully, but it was noted in class today.

Nevertheless, Jason took it upon himself to do a project anyway, although I did tell him that doing something special wasn't necessary. He scoffed at that, of course, and came up with 100 hives all over his body as his contribution. Our boy is an overachiever it seems.

From what I can tell, I think this is from the color drops I put in his bath water last night. He wanted orange water, so I ended up putting in two different tablets to achieve the desired effect. Sigh. It looks like that we will have to say goodbye to the cool color drops...even I have hives today, and I didn't sit in the water. Bummer.

Anyway, Jason is on the mend, if not a tiny bit itchy. He's being lathered in creme and taking Benadryl to help him feel better. I did tell him to ease up on the overachieving next time, though. ;)
 

From the Mouths of Babes

I turned the television to the Superbowl at about half time. I was hoping to catch the big show.

After watching for all of thirty seconds...

"So what's so great about football, mom?"

Point taken, and frankly, I had to agree. The television was turned back to NickJr. lol
