Birthday Eve
Tonight, I said goodnight to our boys and kissed away the year of 12.
Much of this year has been a year like no other, yet these two have gone with the flow and have enjoyed life in pure dynamic duo style.
When school was canceled and they could no longer see their friends, they pushed through.
When weekly trips to Target could no longer happen because of quarantine, they pushed through.
When summer plans were never made, they pushed through.
With laughter.
With mischief and silliness.
With determination.
They picked themselves up when they got knocked down, and they kept moving forward.
We're so proud of how they've handled what the universe has thrown their way.
We're so proud of the young men they are becoming.
13!
Seems crazy to think they can possible be 13.
Goodnight, my amazing boys. May the year of 13 bring you joy and love and so much more!

Clay Pumpkins
We decided to get our craft on and make some fall pumpkins with clay. It was pretty fun. Each boy got a 5 pound tub of clay and had at it. They shaped them and added pumpkin details. Jason's even had leaves!

Cute Big Boy Saturday
Jack got to do a project to explain what he learned from their unit about energy. He chose to be a teacher and tell about what he learned. (I think he is a fan of making videos. lol)

Friday Five
Not sure why, but sheesh, this has been a long week around these parts. I think we are all very glad for the weekend.
~~~
Family pictures are coming up next week. Can't wait! I think I have our outfits all picked out. Now we hope no one goes on a growth spurt while we wait the week out. That has happened, so I don't put it past this crew of ours to do it again.
~~~
Jason is excited to learn about an art contest his school is having. They are supposed to draw a fall theme. He spent today really thinking through the possibilities of what he could draw. I'm excited to see his creation.
~~~
Jack has spirit week for school next week. Each day they have a different outfit they're supposed to wear to their Zoom meets. Monday is pajama day. I think we are going to ROCK that day. lol
~~~
Shawn got to pick where we went for our errands this week. (And by errands, I mean glorified car ride.) We drove by the beach, dropped my ballot off at the drop off site, and headed to Starbucks for a chocolate chip cookie. He likes him some chocolate chip cookies. lol

Power Tools
One of the quickest ways to make a boy happy is to pull out the power tools! I let Shawn and Jack go at it at some firewood we had. They hammered and drilled to their hearts' content. Too funny.
| He's got the concentration tongue going on here. :) |
| The fascination starts young... |
