Opinion

Title: Butterflies

In my opinion I like butterflies better than caterpillars. To begin with, butterflies fly away from their predutors. Second butterflies have colorful and vibrant wings that help them camoflage. Finally butterflies drink nectar with their proboscis. For these reasons in my opinion I like butterflies better than caterpillars.

School

Everyone made it to school today! Yay! The idea of that was questionable last night. Jason might have been willing to stay home today, but then he reconsidered when I sent him to get back in bed this morning. Some quick negotiating about how long he would have to stay in bed led him to be more inclined to try to stick it out at school. Go figure. lol.

Temps are still in the 99's, but we haven't hit that standard 100.1 mark the pediatrician takes as "fever." Onward and upward for Team Lopez!

P.S. The big boys report that their new teacher is pretty cool. Said the day went well and everyone in their class behaved pretty well. Fingers crossed this means they can end the year on a high note.

Germ Fest

Spent the day lounging around, trying to feel better...

We decided to postpone April Fool's Day until next week so everyone can feel better. I think, after seeing theses guys this afternoon, it is definitely warranted.

Happy Birthday, Jack!

Poor Jack has had a rough birthday today. He is definitely not feeling well, although a steady supply of Advil keeps a bit of pep in his step.

The Last of 7

He let me take this picture of him before he headed off to bed. It's our last picture of 7 year old Jack. Tonight, when we tucked our boy in bed, we kissed the year of 7 goodbye.

It’s been such a good year for our boy. He's become such a character, full of adventure and humor. He gives the best snuggles and kisses in one moment...in the next, he's off to wrestle with his brothers or find some sort of mischief.  💜

Tomorrow, he wakes up an 8 year old. Our baby is growing up so fast.

May the year of 8 be as great as possible while bringing our sweet boy all the joy of seven and much, much more!
