Interview

The boys got to interview me about my job this week. At the end of the interview, they had to draw a picture of me at my job. I love their pictures!

Mostly Wordless Wednesday

(Picture day #2 seemed to go well. They said they smiled. They picked out their favorite clothes. Now we wait. lol)

While the big boys were out at therapy, Jack and I cruised the hood...

Pictures!

Today was picture day for Jack! Any guesses as to how it will turn out? lol. He came home from school absolutely filthy, his face streaked with dirt, so the jury is out as to whether he managed to bathe in soil before or after he actually sat in front of the camera. He says after, but he isn't the most reliable source on this type of thing. We shall see! :)

The big boys are up for their pictures tomorrow. Fingers crossed!

Our Summer Bucket List

Well, the end of summer is officially here. It's time to see how we did on our Summer Bucket List. We had 38 things to do on our list. We managed to do 18 of them! We've also decided there are a few things that we'll be doing over the next few weeks, so we'll be able to mark a few more things off of our list. :) Yay!

Feeling Better

I told someone that the trio is sick this weekend. She said of course they are. It's a three day weekend. Lol. It does seem that they get sick over long weekends.

Shawn has been the sickest. He wore the "I'm not feeling well" sweaty sheen on his face all weekend. It hasn't helped that it has been a super hot weekend on top of that. Poor guy.

He is feeling better, though. After 36 hours of nothing but crackers and juice, Shawn went all out at dinner this evening.

First he asked for a grilled cheese. I gave him one with some chips.

He ate that.

Then he asked for pretzels.

He ate that.

Then he asked for a hamburger and ate half of that. Then he asked for Doritos. He topped it all off with dessert!

I think it's safe to say he's back!

Summer Bucket List - Water War!

This week has been crazy hot. So hot, in fact, that even though the boys have colds, we had to get into the pool to cool off some. (It's been brutal.) They had a blast!

Friday Five

Whelp, we made it 15 days before the first cold of the school year invaded the house. Sent Shawn to school looking and feeling fine...he came home a runny mess. By that night, Jack was sniffling and sneezing. Jason woke up the next morning with a sore throat. They made it through the week, but I suspect we'll be taking it easy this weekend.

~~~
It has been crazy hot around these parts lately. I am thankful that the boys all have air conditioning in their classrooms. It gets pretty miserable in a classroom when there is no air. (I should know. There is no air in my classroom!)
~~~

Jack came home with his first library book today! It is a Cat in the Hat book, and the reading level is 2.1. That's a whole reading level ahead of grade level. Way to go, Jack!

It was even more fun when he sat down and read me half the book!

~~~
Speaking of Jack, his teacher wanted to let us know that she loves Jack's British accent. They were looking at books int he library and Jack found a Harry Potter book. He proceeded to read some of it in a British accent. The teacher thought it was pretty funny. LOL
~~~

Three day weekend for all of us this weekend. We are all very excited about it, too!
