Eye Appointment

Jack had an appointment at the eye doctor today. He was so excited about the whole thing (And I'm not even kidding. He was!) and was so good!

The great news is that Jack's vision is actually very good. His eyes are very healthy. too.

The bad news (for Jack) is that he does NOT need glasses. Jack was a bit disappointed about that part. He really likes glasses. In fact, when I asked him what part of the appointment he liked best, he said it was trying on glasses before he went in to see the ophthalmologist. lol!

Silly kid!

Growing Like Weeds

The new car needs some new car seats for the boys, so I thought I'd do a quick height check on everyone before I set out to find some. I was pretty blown away by how tall they all are now.

Jason - 57" tall. He is right on the cusp of no longer needing a car seat, as most of the booster seats max out at 57" tall. OMG. How did that even happen?!

Shawn - 52" tall. He might even be a bit taller, but he wasn't exactly the most cooperative person around when I was trying to measure him.

Jack - 50" tall. The boy is in kindergarten and is over four feet tall. Whoa!

It was a good thing I measured them before I bought the seats. lol!

Cute Big Boy Saturday

They seemed to have developed a truce. It only took 9 and a half years to get to this point, but hey, who's counting? ;)

Friday Five

The boys' first week of testing is in the books. This week the focus was on Language Arts. Math is up next week.

We're so proud of both the boys for trying their best. Way to go, boys!

~~~
The awesome week at school led to a Target trip so the boys could pick out a toy. They were super delighted to see that the Cars 3 toys were out on display! June can't get here soon enough. They can't wait to see the new movie!
He said he felt sick. I told him he was fine. He came back like this.
Jack has his first appointment at the eye doctor next week. He didn't pass his school vision screening in one eye, so we are going to go have his eyes checked. (Of course, Shawn didn't pass his school screening either, but the ophthalmologist said the results from the school screening were waaaay off, so this doesn't necessarily mean his vision needs correcting. We shall see.) I don't know whether he'll need glasses or not, but I know he's going to be super cute either way. :)
We were SO excited to find this little beauty in the garden this afternoon!
We've been growing our artichokes for nearly a year, so it was pretty neat to see some fruit for our labor!
Conversations With 6 Year Olds
Jack just finished eating an apple. "Tah dah!" he said while holding up the remains. "One apple bone!"
Too cute! I almost hated having correct him. From now on, let's all refer to the core as an "apple bone" m-kay, and then I won't have to!
