Jack has been all over Dr. Seuss since they had Dr. Seuss week at school. His favorite story is by far Green Eggs and Ham. He has it pretty much memorized, and it is funny to hear him adapt the text to fit various situations that come up throughout the day. lol
Anyway, the other day, I asked Jack if he wanted to try green eggs and ham. He was all for it, which is HUGE. Our Jack is not an adventurous eater at all, so willingly wanting to try something new like this was big. I jumped on it and created this...
(We didn't have ham on hand. I used a little sliced roast beef instead. Ahem. I was confident he wouldn't know the difference, so I went for it. Ha!)
Jack helped me make the eggs. We ended up scrambling the eggs. He loved making them green with a little food dye. He insisted on dying the "ham", too. It should be noted that dying a slice of meat is kind of impossible, but he would not be swayed from the belief that it must be done.

| We reread the story. |
He willingly tried it even!
(Look at Jason being all skeptical over there.) |
Of course he picked a micro piece of egg to try, so
he was a bit unsure about how he felt at first. |
Jack told Jay he had to try it, too.
Oh the excitement! |
| He was pretty meh about it, but his curiosity was cured. |
| Going in for another try. |
| Still not sure... |
| But he was very pleased with the experience! |
| Now he's trying the meat. |
| And yeah. Not a fan. LOL |
