Jason lost another tooth tonight--pulled it out all by himself, too!

Camping Part 5

The boys had a fantastic time while we were camping. Not only did they get to do archery and arts and crafts, but they got to experience so much that they wouldn't have had the chance to experience otherwise.

They got to stay in an actual cabin!

The cabins themselves were color coded. We stayed in the red cabins. Inside, we stayed in the main portion of the cabin. There were two other families that stayed in another part of the cabin. The rooms were joined by a common area that had a table, fridge, and games.

Trying out the bed on the first night.

A glimpse of our cabin. (Shawn's mattress is on the
floor in this picture.)

Another view of the room.
There was a dining hall where we all gathered to eat yummy meals and hang out.

Shawn and I outside of the dining hall.

Dancing to the music.

It's not a party unless you are able to dab a little.

The meals were all served "family" style.

Jay and I inside the dining hall.

Singing and dancing to some camp songs. That is Jason and  the
back of another of our Pals, Matt (white shirt there).

The boys got to go boating on the lake.

Waiting in line.

Shawn and I hung out on the grass instead. I thought
this is such a sweet picture of Shawn!

Jason getting on to a boat.

They got to go fishing, too. Here they were catching turtles with hot dogs. lol. The kids would have to kiss the turtles and then release them back into the water. We didn't catch a turtle, but boy did the boys want to!

We can't wait to go back again!

Camping Part 4

I think the activity that ended up being the boys' favorite was arts and craft. The craft room was pretty much a crafter's fantasy. Anything you could possibly need was there ready for the kids to utilize as they unleashed their creative spirit. There were several different craft ideas out on the tables, but the Pals in the room were totally open to making whatever the kids dreamed come to reality. It was pretty awesome.

Shawn got right to work on painting a rock.

Our Pal, Kailee, helped Shawn create a rock extraordinaire.

Jack created a rock man. He was quite proud of it, too!

Jason's rock was cool. It had two faces.

Jack then went on to create a microphone - a must
from everyone born to be on the stage.

Jason was looking for some supplies to create a globe.
After he finished, they sent him next door to the wood shop
to create a stand for it.

Creative minds at work, here.

Shawn also got to paint a wooden turtle!

Performing with his microphone.

So much fun!

Cute Big Boy Saturday - April Fooled!

Today was April Fools' Day, so of course we had to get our pranks ready for the boys.

Our plans for the day:

Kids in different beds ✔Drawing on faces (this time hearts) ✔Fake sponge brownies ✔Breakfast drinks frozen ✔50 kid jokes taped on the walls around the house ✔

We started by swapping the boys in their beds and drawing on their faces last night. Jack went to Shawn's bed. Shawn went to Jay's. Jason went to Jack's bed. The funniest thing is that no one really ever commented about it. Apparently waking up in a random bed is no big thing anymore. LOL.

They realized we had wrote on their faces when they saw each other. They just rolled with that one like it was no big deal, too. Sigh.

We also taped jokes all over the house. (50 strips of paper go a LOOONNNGGG way, let me tell you.) Jason woke us up to a new joke at 6:30 this morning, so I know he was reading them. lol

Frozen drinks brought funny reactions, especially from Jack and Shawn!

He hasn't quite figured out the water is frozen here.

Starting to sense something is wrong...

Wait a minute...

It's frozen!

Shawn just went straight to the drink...

He thought it was funny when he figured it out.

We got Jason REALLY good at dinner time. I told the boys I had made brownies while they were out playing.

Frosted sponges! They look pretty convincing if
I do say so myself!

Checking it out and licking some icing...

Going in for a bite.

Wait a minute...

"Is this a prank?!"

It rated a half thumbs up. Sigh. Always a critic, this kid.
Of course, he wanted to lick all of the icing off the sponge
even after he knew what it was. Yuck!

The boys even managed to prank me. They put Legos in the ice machine. LOL.

All in all it was a fun day. :)
