Another One
Jack woke me up nice and early this morning to tell me I needed to pull yet another tooth. As much as I tried to distract him (and roll over to sleep a tiny bit more), he would have none of it. So I did as he wanted and tried to pull his tooth.
It was very loose, but I knew if I pulled it, I'd only make it bleed and wouldn't guarantee that it would come out anyway. He wasn't at all happy when I told him it wasn't ready, but he did leave anyway.
And came back to me six other times asking me to pull his tooth. lol
I'm trying to let it wiggle for a bit longer, but I will be surprised if the thing makes it through another day. He is NOT a fan of annoyingly loose teeth.
Honestly, I wish the kid would slow down this whole growing up business. This is his 6th tooth; he just turned 5 like yesterday, didn't he? Sheesh.
It's too soon to be losing all these teeth. It's too soon to have a mouth full of big boy teeth.
Too soon, I tell you! Sigh. I wish he'd listen to me on this one.

Friday Five
Third week of school for the boys and the first week of school for me is in the books! Yay! Although we are all enjoying school, we're all super excited for this three day weekend. :)

Isaac has been helping out in Jack's class for the last two days. I think Jack's teacher really appreciates the help, and I'm fairly certain Isaac's enjoying it a bit, too. I'm not sure, but the "You're hired!" comment she told him yesterday may have been more serious than joke. LOL!

Jack and Jay have both been sick this week with runny noses and/or coughs. Shawn, woke up last night to tell me he was not feeling well, but he immediately fell back asleep. I'm not sure if he was actually dreaming or what. Fingers crossed we get the chance to enjoy the weekend and not have to deal with another round of worsening germs.

Shawn and Jason have a student with peanut allergies in their class this year. I was a little upset that it took the school three weeks to let us know of the issue, especially with the fact that the boys were taking peanut butter sandwiches to school every day during that time!, but we've all agreed that we're going to do our part to keep their classmate safe. Good thing the boys like bologna! :)

Picture day is next week! Wonder what fun this year will bring us in the picture department. LOL

Conversations With 8 Year Olds
Him: "Mom, so how long is it until Halloween? Is it next week?"
Me: "No, we still have to get through all of September and October before it's Halloween."
Him: "Are you sure? I think that it should be Halloween next week."
Me: "Well, you've got to wait a little longer than next week."
Him: "Hm. Well, OK, but I still think it should be next week. Can we go trick or treating next week then?"
Me: "Um, no."
He tried hard to convince me, too. Lol!
