Back to School

Today, the boys went back to school after three full weeks of vacation. One was in tears because he didn't want to go back. The other couldn't wait. lol. It's the story of our dynamic duo's lives. More often than not, they seem to do everything opposite of the other!

The good news is that they both did have a good day, though. Yay! :)

Conversations With 4 Year Olds

Isaac: "Jack, I need you to clean up these toys before you get out anything else. Okay?"

Jack: "No-kay. No-kay, daddy." And he meant it.

LOL!

Friday Five

The boys went to grandma's today. I walked in to pick them up and discovered this...

No wonder the boys love going to grandma's so much! I hope they realize how lucky they are to have such a cool grandma like her. :)

~~~
Jack has taken a new interest in the fish, Ringo. He can't hardly wait until after dinner so he can help daddy feed him. Then Jack will come get me so we can watch the fish eat all of his food. It's pretty cute.
This evening, I introduced Jason to the song "What a Feeling" from Flashdance. Then I proceeded to teach him how to do the jazz hands in the air walk move that Jennifer Beals does in her dance.
It was all kinds of awesome and bound to bring many days of delight for me. :)
~~~

Shawn has taken his brotherly duties to a whole new level this week. Shawn has taught Jack how to do the deep big boy belly burps. Jack is quite proud of himself, and the other two laugh like crazy each time Jack does it.

Which is often. Because that's what boys do.

I love watching the relationship Jack and Shawn have. Shawn is always aware of what Jack is doing and where he's at. Shawn is also a big fan of constant kisses, so it isn't unusual for Shawn to go up to Jack and kiss him. It's too cute.

~~~
Jack's stuffed babies were getting out of control, but while he has a million of them, he plays with just about every single one of them on most days. Last weekend, Isaac and I went to the Container Store and bought him a 34 gallon tub to store them...
Now all we have to do is work on the putting the babies back into the container when he's done.
Conversations With 8 Year Olds
I leaned over an apparently exhaled on his glasses.
Him: "Did you just fog me? Mom, you fogged me!"
He coined a new term! lol. Made me laugh.
~~~

Him: "Mom, my tummy is a little flip floppy."

Me: "It is? Why is that?"

Him: "I know why. I laughed too hard today and it made my stomach shrink. It's now growing back to where it's supposed to be."

Okie dokie. :)

Fun and Games

He declared today "Game Day." Obviously, we had to then play games.

We started with a little Scrabble. :)
