Today was the 120th day of school for the boys. Like last year, they were asked to create something to represent the number 120.
We brainstormed, and the boys came up with their ideas. I dug up some materials and ...
voilĂ ! Cute projects!!
Shawn's Gumball Machine:
I found a gumball coloring page on the net, blew it up and printed it on red and gray paper, and had him cut everything out. He glued that down on a piece of tag board. Then we used the side of a crayon (well 10 of them) to rub color on 1" round stickers. He put them in the "tank" area. I drew around them with a marker. He finished it off with a construction paper top. At that point, Shawn was done, so I added the writing at the bottom to finish it up.
So cute!
Jason's Pizza Pie:
Sadly, a trip to urgent care thwarted Jason's ability to write his own cover sheet. Pretend he wrote that.
He had a round piece of cardboard. We divided it into 10 different sections. Then he cut out 10 red triangles for "sauce." Each slice has 10 different toppings - clip art printed onto 1" round stickers. We crinkled up some brown packing paper and glued that down as "crust." The finishing touch was a box from Pizza Hut to carry it.
So cute #2!
Both boys were quite proud of their handiwork, too. :)
