Friday Five

I think we finally have Jason's sinus infection under control. Fingers crossed.
Both Jack and Shawn are feeling better, too.
Let this be the last plague that invades our house for a long, long while, please.

You know your kid likes the iPad a little too much when he tries to swipe and press on the television in the same way. Lol. Oh boy does it make him angry when it doesn't move to a different screen, too. It is funny to watch.

I went to a convention last weekend and was gone for two days. I told the boys I was going to be at work for "a really long time" in an effort to avoid the crying scene that was surely to come if I said I'd be gone for two nights. Apparently this approach has scarred Shawn. Now when I tell him I'm going to work in the morning, he tells me the usual "Have a good day!" with an added, "Don't forget to come home" at the end.

If I didn't know how badly Jason felt just by looking at him, the fact that he forgot to ask about his weekly allowance this week would have said it all. Now that he feels better, he's been asking me every day for his lost wages. :)

Dr. Seuss Week
This week, the boys' school celebrated Dr. Seuss. It culminates tomorrow with a dress like your favorite Dr. Seuss character spirit day.
With everyone being on the mend from the plague, we didn't really want to go all out with their costume, but they did want to dress up in some way. So, we put our heads together and came up with a perfect "costume" that's not. Tomorrow the boys are going to be star belly Sneetches.
They'll have the expected star on their bellies, but they'll also have this saying on the back:
"That day, all the Sneetches forgot about stars and whether
They had one, or not, upon thars."
And of course, we couldn't leave out Mr. Jack...
I can't wait for the boys to wear them to school! You know I'm going to take loads of pictures!

Well...
It's hard to come up with something to blog about when everyone is sick. Conversations are pretty limited. Cute antics are at a standstill. Pictures, if taken, would be of people lying here and there doing nothing entertaining. Needless to say, no pictures have been taken lately.
In other words, things around here are pretty boring.
But, things are improving, so I'll take it.
How long until cold and flu season is over? I'm starting to wonder if we'll make it! Sheesh.

Sick-o-Rama
I have nothing very entertaining to say today because 4/5 of us are feeling like this to some degree...
(Jason's picture representation of the word 'flu' is pretty accurate of you ask me. Got to love his germ in the upper right hand corner. Lol)
Today was full of a trip to urgent care and new antibiotics for one, a continuously dripping nose for another, and a nasty cough for the third. We added in a little vomiting for good measure. I'm fairly certain there will be no school for them tomorrow, too. Fun times.
