Avocado
Yesterday, Jack tried avocados for the first time. He LOVED them. He looked a lot like this...
He had a few bites before he decided to give me a nice refund. Mind you, he managed to keep the cereal and fruit down and just spit out the avocado. (Why waste the good stuff, right? And dude, how do they do that anyway? How are they able to be so darn selective about, for lack of a better term, what they give back?)
The good news is that I am not deterred. I already have one boy (Shawn) who likes avocados. I need me another! Watch out Jack, you haven't seen the last of avocados yet. :-)
Happy boy sucking on his food teether.
He was so impressive, opening his mouth wide in anticipation of the next bite. He "mmm'ed" and grunted for more bites. Ahhh...I was in mommy heaven!
Today, however, was a different story. There was no little bird imitation. There was no sounds of pleasure.
What was this poison you tried to give me? Blech!

Mostly Wordless Wednesday - Blast from the Past
July 2009. 18 months adjusted.
Jason listening to his Elvis.
Stuff this good needs to be revisited, you know? :-)
Sometimes I forget how blond he was! You'd never know it to see his hair now.

Kidbits: Our Life in a Series of Face Book Updates... Part 11
Isaac heard a strange noise last night. When he came out to investigate, he found Shawn was up, sitting in the dark. I should add that it was midnight.
What was he doing you ask?
He was reading.
Sigh. My kids are nuts!
October 17 at 9:19pm
and then:
I should add that tonight is an early to bed night. Two minutes after their heads hit their pillows they were out. Yeah!
at 9:21pm
---
Said by Jason a few minutes ago:
"Daddy's the best man in the whole world!"
Doesn't that just make you melt? :-)
October 16 at 5:40pm
**Um, what am I? Chopped liver? Jeez.
---
Tooth #3 came in yesterday. I expect #4 today or tomorrow. I've got a cranky baby on my hands.
Saturday at 11:30am
FYI-Still waiting on those other teeth. Still suffering from The Crankiness.
---
4 shots and an oral vaccine make for a grumpy baby. Big boy had his 6 month well baby visit today. Can you believe he's 29.5 inches long?!?!?
September 30 at 9:34pm
The pediatrician just walks in and says, "Well, he is still big!" Yep. That about sums it up perfectly. :-)
---
The big boys are both sick and sleeping. Poor guys.
September 24 at 4:07pm
---
Jack was playing peek a boo with me a little bit ago. It was too cute to watch him cover his face and then slam his arms down and wait for a "boo!" :-)

Pumpkin Patch 2011
Today, the family went to the pumpkin patch!
Here's Jack practicing his mad sitting skillz...
We had a good time, but I think the wonder of the pumpkin may be lost on my boys. Shawn seemed more interested in hanging out with daddy, while Jason seemed to prefer throwing dirt clods to pumpkin hunting. Sigh. That's okay. At least one of them was somewhat interested in the big orange fruits. Lol.
P.S. I have decided that it is markedly easier to photograph two kids at the pumpkin patch than it is to photograph three. Jeez. I think in the future, I need another set of arms to do a decent job!
Hm...decisions, decisions. I think I like this one better. Wait...maybe not...
What's this thing?
I know, it's a drum! When you hit it, it makes a cool noise!
Forget the noise; this stick thing is very interesting!
No...the drum is better...
Watching his big bros playing in the patch.
Here's Jason -- he's going to climb up on the pumpkin. He changed his mind about a second after I took the picture.
This one looks like a good one!
Mommy and Jack
Shawn and daddy
Jason's showing us a rock (dirt clod)
Full of the giggles...or maybe mommy is tickling us.
Mr. Muscles picking up his pumpkin.
Shawn's new "cheese" face. I think we're going to have to work on it a bit more. Lol
